Orifice Plate types • Square Edge
o For general applications in clean fluids. The most widely used design. Suitable for pipes up to 1000 mm diameter.
• Quarter Circle o Suitable for measurement
of low Reynolds number flows in pipelines of diameter less than 750mm
• Conical Entrance o Suitable for measurement
of very low Reynolds number flows. Easier to manufacture than Quarter circle type.
• Segmental o Suitable for measurement
of dirty fluids and 2 phase flow. Allows passage of extraneous matter. Suitable for pipes up to 350mm
• Eccentric o Suitable for measurement
of dirty fluids and 2 phase flow. Suitable for pipes up to 350mm
• Restriction o Not for flow measurement
but to reduce the pressure in the pipeline.

Orifice plates are the most popular device for measurement and control of fluid flow. The shape and manufacturing tolerance of plates used in measurement applications are defined in international standardization publications of ISO, AGA, ASME and others. Based on data from the process and formulas from these publications we get the relationship and values of flow, differential pressure and plate bore. Autek Orifice plates are manufactured to meet strict industry standards and safety guidelines and are designed to meet the end users expectations.
