Order of Worship - Sanctuary PRELUDE - “Canon in D Major” - Johann Pachelbel
Michael Olson, organist
ANNOUNCEMENTS /PRAYER Reader - John Benson Cantor - Linda Jaeger Assisting Pastor - Pastor Bill Ahlfeldt
GIDEONS PRESENTATION - Gregg Webster
BRIEF ORDER FOR CONFESSION AND FORGIVENESS
P: In the name of the Father, and of the + Son, and of the Holy Spirit. C: Amen
P: Almighty God, to whom all hearts are open, all desires known, and from whom no secrets are hid: Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you and worthily magnify your holy name, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
C: Amen
P: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
P: Most Merciful God.
C: We confess that we are in bondage to sin and cannot free ourselves. We have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy name. Amen.
P: Almighty God, in his mercy, has given his Son to die for us and, for his sake, forgives us all our sins. As a called and ordained minister of the Church of Christ, and by his authority, I therefore declare to you the entire forgiveness of all your sins, in the name of the Father, and of the + Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
C: Amen

Welcome & Announcements Song - “God of Wonders” Sacrament of Holy Baptism 9:00 - Aubrey Lynn Larson, daughter of Rick & Anna Larson 11:00 - Adriana Grace Greterman, daughter of Aaron & Sarah Greterman Confession & Forgiveness Dear Lord, I’m sorry I forgot. I forgot that You are the vine and I am only one small branch. I’ve forgotten to stay connected to you throughout my busy week. I’ve failed to receive true nourishment through you and from you. I’ve tried to fulfill myself in ways that never satisfy or fulfill. I realize that because I’ve neglected my connection to you, I have borne no good fruit, or worse yet I have sown the rotten fruit of discontent, anger, malice, judgment and jealousy. Forgive me Lord, for thinking I can survive on my own, without your nourishment and pruning. Amen. PRAYER OF THE DAY
P: Let us pray. All: O God, form the minds of your faithful people into a single will. Make us love what you command and desire what you promise, that, amid all the changes of this world, our hearts may be fixed where true joy is found; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen FIRST READING - Acts 8:26-40, Pew Bible page 892 PSALM - Psalm 22:25-31 Melody: Gethsemane 77 77 77
In the full assembly I will praise you. I will praise you, Lord my God, With the celebrating throng.
In the presence of those who worship you I will offer the sacrifices I promised.
I will praise you, Lord my God, Join the grateful in their song. The poor will eat as much as they want; those who come to the Lord
will praise him. May they prosper forever! Let all nations join to sing Praises to their gracious King!
All nations will remember the Lord. From every part of the world they will turn to him; all races will worship him.
I will praise you, Lord my God, With the celebrating throng. To him indeed shall all who sleep in the earth bow down; before
him shall bow all who go to the dust. I will praise you, Lord my God, Join the faithful in their song.
Future generations will serve him. People not yet born will be told: "The Lord saved his people."
Let all ages join to sing Praises to their gracious King!
