The following slides are tips and tricks that will help you take your online class.
Orientation
• Enrollment paper: Make sure your email is accurate and check it for your password to log in.
• Once you are enrolled, double check both your counselor (if you are wondering) and myself to make sure you are in the correct classes.

Type in your user name and pw & click Login
Once you are in, notice your class listClick on the class desired
Notice the links to the left – click on “orientation” and read throughFind the sections of your class on the left – that is what you will work through to complete the class.
Once in “Orientation,” Scroll down and click on “Table of Contents” – this will get you to all your readings that will help you be more knowledgeable when taking quizzes and tests – see below.
Click on the first subject: “Loyalty and Betrayal” and see the following assignments:
This is where you read and watch videos – make sure to click “reviewed” to see next assignment.
This is a quiz (If CR, you can take this quiz 5 times. If not, you can only take it once.)
This is another reading assignment
This is a project that requires uploading. Anytime you type more than a couple of sentences, you must upload… Do NOT type in box provided.
If you are taking a Credit recovery class, you can retake each test 5 times. (this is done to augment the technological problems that may occur.)
Plagiarism
• Don’t do it! It will equal a ZERO on the assignment
• The online school has really cool software that will check your work against the entire web, as well as all previous papers turned in by all online classmates.
• See the Plagiarism handout by downloading the document provided by Aventa on the bottom of the TLC welcome page.
WARNING on PDFs
• Whenever you have to complete a worksheet, it is important to download it to your desktop first and save it before entering the data.
• Make sure to work from the saved file and not the internet
• Otherwise, it will erase when you try to save it.
Click on the link at the bottom left called “My Grades”This is where you monitor your progress because this shows everything required of you to pass your class.
The Cumulative grade is what gets posted to your school transcriptAverage = grade for everything completed.Cumulative = grade for everything completed and not completed.
Icons• Click on little house to return to main menu of your course
• Legend of navigating Fueled:• Calendar, what’s due today, what’s due this
week, what’s graded, discussion posts regarding student work
• All posts• Updates: What tests you’ve taken, when
you took them and other notifications from your teacher
• My grades of all classes• Calendar for personal use
Grades
• 89.5-100% = A• 79.5 – 89 = B• 69.5 – 79 = C• 59.5 – 69 = D
