Looking for something new to see in Tokyo? Are you willing to travel off the beaten path?Tokyo is one of the biggest cities in the world with major
historic landmarks scattered throughout the city.
There are gems hidden within Tokyo's neighborhoods that
local Japanese people know about but may not be in the
tourist guides yet, like shops hidden on a narrow street or
on the sixth floor of an inconspicuous concrete building.
But how exactly can you find these places?
After you've had your fill of the must-hit landmarks in
Tokyo, like the Tokyo Tower near Akabanebashi Station or
Sensoji Temple near Asakusa Station, you're already on the
right track. You can hop right on the Toei Subway!
One of the main transit systems that goes through the
heart and soul of major Tokyo sights and residential
locales is the Toei Subway system, which is comprised of
four of Tokyo's major subway arteries: the Asakusa, Mita,
Shinjuku, and the Oedo Lines. They also operate the Toei
bus system, a local tram called the Tokyo Sakura Tram
(officially known as the Toden Arakawa Line), and the
Nippori-Toneri Liner, a monorail in northern Tokyo.
