3.2 Multiplying PolynomialsObjective: Students will be able to multiply

polynomials.

Page 2: Objective: Students will be able to multiply polynomials

If you can do Distributive Property, you can multiply polynomials… Find each product.

Example 1: 6x2(x3 + 4)

Example 2: 3cd2(4c2d – 6cd + 14cd2)

Page 3: Objective: Students will be able to multiply polynomials

Example 3: (x + 4)(3 – 2x + x2)

Example 4: (3b – 2c)(3b2 – bc – 2c2)

Page 4: Objective: Students will be able to multiply polynomials

When multiplying two trinomials, use the “box method”

Example 5: (x2 – 4x + 1)(x2 + 5x – 2)

Example 6: (x3 + 3x2 + 1)(3x2 + 6x – 2)
