CAR PARK UPDATEThank you Mark K. for seeing the car park project through from start to finish. What a wonderful job you did. Thank you ! The car park refurb went above budget so your contributions towards it are greatly appreciated ! St Michael’s general fund will pay the balance. THANK YOU to everyone who has been so generous and has already contributed to the St Michael’s Car Park Refurbishment Project. We have raised £4725 so far. Please drop your cheques into the Church Office. You can also donate online & tick the Gift Aid box (We do not have to pay fees !) https://www.goldengiving.com/wall/st-michael-and-all-angels-church
Thank you again !
We need a representative from our congregation to be the contact for the annual Women’s World Day of Prayer, held on 1st March 2019. Helen was our fantastic representative for 14 years and Sarah Day stood in for us last year. It isn’t too onerous, please see Helen Baker for details of what it entails.
First Reading Isaiah 25:6-9These words, spoken before Israel went into exile, are an encouragement, not just to those who know God, but to all people, that our hope is built on the faithfulness of God and God’s salvation.
Second Reading Revelation 21:1-6aThe vision of heaven is one in which all barriers will be broken down and a new community will be born in which the longing of human hearts to know God will finally be satisfied.
Gospel John 11:32-44Jesus’ raising of Lazarus is perhaps the greatest of his signs to reveal his true nature – one who has power even over death itself.

Almighty and eternal God,
you have kindled the flame of love
in the hearts of the saints:
grant to us the same faith and power of love,
that, as we rejoice in their triumphs,
we may be sustained by their example
and fellowship;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen

“Contemplation, Courage and Creativity
A Christ like church at St Michael’s and All
Angels”
Heavenly Father,
We pray that you will guide our church
community with wisdom, hope and love as we
seek your will for the future of St Michael’s.
May we discern your vision and call to serve
the people of this town through our mission
and ministry. Bless the Church Council as
they work together to shape that vision into a
profile and plan for St Michael’s.
Encourage and give the St Michael’s family
the strength to think about how they can
contribute towards this opportunity and work
together to become more Christ like and share
in what we do. Amen______________________________________
A final goodbye from Ken and CamillaWe have not been able to see everyone we hoped to, in the past few weeks, and so want to say once again thank you all so much for your kind wishes and care of us.
We will hold you in our prayers and will look out for your news in the months ahead. Camilla & Ken.
