Nepal earthquake: Our story
Nepal
CHINA
INDIA
In April 2015, a powerful 7.8
earthquake hit Nepal.
Over 9,000 people were killed as poorly-built
buildings collapsed.
800,000 homes were damaged or
destroyed.
That includes an estimated 80-90%
in Nuwakot District, where we work.
Where we work
INDIA
Many families moved into tents,
where they remain.
But we thank God that the 11 Fuller
Center homes were spared!
(The completed home photos are from after the quake.)
Pristine condition, without even
cracks.
The local churches became the hands
and feet of Christ by providing low-cost,
emergency shelters.
But now they need permanent homes.
Our calling is to teach others how to
build better, through building.
We’ll re-use the good materials from temporary shelters
and their old homes.
Our goal is to build 200 more safe, healthy homes.
But we need help…
