To be eligible at a NCAA Division I or II school, student-athlete must meet minimum requirements in order to be: Eligible to receive institutional aid
Eligible to practice on a varsity team
Eligible to compete on a varsity team
Eligible for 4 seasons on competition
NCAA INITIAL ELIGIBILITY TERMS
Qualifier: Graduates with High School Class
Meets specific academic qualifications Minimum CORE course GPA (16 Credits) ACT/SAT Test Score
*** Beginning Aug 1, 2016
*** 10 of the 16 core courses must be completed before 7th semester (Senior year)
*** 7 of the 10 must be must be English, math, or science

Academic Redshirt: (after 2015 only)
Graduates with High School Class
Complete 16 core courses (same distribution as in past)
Have a minimum core GPA of 2.00
Meets the academic redshirt sliding scale requirements of GPA and ACT/SAT Test Score

Non-qualifier: (If you only meet one of the following you will be
considered a Non-qualifier)
