require updating, contact the HRSSC.
Note: The system displays the message “Data saved

You can also go into Liteblue, under the HR tab to
change your address/phone number

When copying and pasting between
applications, not all characters will
necessarily be translated as they are in

important that when pasting documents
from other applications such as MS Word
into eCareer, you need to review the
information and make necessary
corrections before submitting the
application.

Advance to the “Education” tab
Click “New Entry”
Free form text field for additional details about studies/institution.
Note: Max 1500 characters in the field.
Example: Attended various vocational classes directly
pertaining to administrative work.

After completion, go to the “Training” tab.
Advance to the “Training” tab
Click “New Entry”
You MAY enter training information
for the past 15 years.
Don’t forget to “Save”
You can access your training record from the Blue page under the Learning management system (LMS) using your
EIN and USPS PIN
Enter specialized skills, memberships, and associations.
Don’t forget to “Save”
2,000 character limit.
The system will display the message “Data saved successfully.”
Advance to “Summary of Accomplishments”
Note: Your summary of
accomplishments is limited to 6000
characters. If you have previously applied,
your latest summary of accomplishments
will be displayed on the screen. If you have
not completed your profile before this will
be blank.

Check the boxes that indicate you have completed your profile to be used for job consideration, and
you have read the data privacy statement. Your information will remain “locked” until these two
boxes are checked.
The system will display “Data saved successfully” after you click “Save.”

Click on “Search for Jobs”
Search and Apply for a Job
Complete required fields.
Click “Start Search”
Search by State as this will
show all postings that are
available in the state.

Advance to Special Skills/Associations
Enter your Special Skills and Associations
This is a free text field with a 2,000 character limit, where you have the
option to list special skills and associations where it may not be
noted elsewhere.
Don’t forget to “save.”
The system displays “Data saved successfully.”
Advance to “References”
References
Click “New Entry” to enter new or additional references.
For “References” complete the required fields.
Don’t forget to “save.”
Click “New Entry” for additional references.
Click “Attachments”
To add an attachment
Click “Add Attachment”
Complete required fields.
Don’t forget to “save.”
For more attachments. Click “Add Attachment”
After all attachments have been added,

Select the method you are using to access eCareer

List summary of accomplishments where it may not be noted elsewhere. This has a 6,000 character limit.
After saving, the system will display “Data saved successfully”
Advance to the “Data Overview” tab
Review your information displayed on the screen
Advance to “Submit Application”
Ready to submit application

Under Career Opportunities, click “Applications”
Select appropriate posting
Then click “Delete/Withdraw”

• The candidate profile section of eCareer is open to everyone in the Postal Service and all employees are encouraged to build their profiles. By creating an online personal candidate profile, an employee can easily keep it up to date with new skills, training and capabilities. It is then ready to send off whenever a new job opportunity opens up.
