Music Magazine Front Page

Second Draft
Originally, I was going to create a music
magazine focusing on pop/chart music
including articles on clubbing music.
However, I felt that my model might
have looked too young to target that
audience therefore I will change the
clubbing references in the tag line and
cover lines for then next draft.
I need to make this cover line bigger so
it stands out more. I might also try to
move the text underneath to go across
the ‘artist’ to show that it is about her.
Although I like the colour scheme
red, black and white I would like to
change the repetitive pattern to make it
look more interesting. I may also
change the button to make it look more
appealing.
Third Draft
I have made the cover line bigger which
I think looks more effective. In addition,
I moved the text underneath and rotated
it across the ‘artist’ I like this change
and this it looks more effective.
I have temporarily removed the
button, however, there is now a gap so I
will try to fill this with
I have adjusted the repetitive pattern
however , I still am not completely
satisfied with the colour of the cover
lines and the text at the bottom. I will
continue to play around with the
colours.
I have changed the references to
clubbing music by changing the
competition and the tag line. This is
more appropriate for the audience that
the image would attract.
Fourth Draft
I have created a button using Photoshop
which gives the effect of a ‘peeled off
sticker’ I think this is effective and
attention-grabbing. However, I do not
like the grey writing because it does not
fit in with the theme.
Once again, I have adjusted the
repetitive pattern however , I still am
not completely content with the colour
of the cover lines and the text at the
bottom. This time I think I will go back
to the original colour pattern for the
cover lines and change the text in the
bottom corner to vary the theme.
Final Draft
This is the final draft of my front cover. I
have made a few minor changes
including the colour of the text at the
bottom and feel proud of the final
product.
