The Count Basie Theatre Performing Arts Academy is home to the region’s most popular and comprehensive music performance programs!
ROCKIT! ACADEMY SUMMER BAND CAMPThe Rockit! Academy, our resident rock and roll performance program, is helmed by the nonprot Rockit! Live Foundation. Rockit’s summer band camp session explores the dynamics of playing in a live band, participating in a disciplined regimen on how to audition and perform with condence by forming their own bands and choosing their own songs. In the process, students learn about improvisation, music theory, and the history of rock and roll. Students will receive a copy of their work at the culmination of the camp.

MONDAYS MEISNER AND FILM FOR TEENS AND ADULTS II/IIISanford Meisner was a renowned teacher of the technique that now bears his name. His approach is widely respected and involves structured improvisational exercises that build on each other to bring the actor to a more instinctive performance level.

6:00-7:30PM AGES: 12-17 TEENS • $190
