•Secret Weapons •Let me know if there is an exciting event coming up in
your family. I am always looking for “secret weapons”!
Beginning in October, we will be working on a
social skill each week using a direct instruction
approach. You will receive information on each
social skill and the explicit directions used to
teach each one.
Examples:
Accepting a compliment
Giving a compliment
Inviting a friend to play
Taking turns
Accepting “no” as an answer
On Fridays our class collects bottles and cans
from the whole school. We sort them and Mr.
Young returns them for us.
We count by 5s.
We use the money collected to purchase a gift
for the school!
Students with good behavior all week are
chosen to help collect and sort recycling.
You may send in a treat for your child’s birthday,
just let me know ahead of time so we can
plan a good time. If your child’s birthday is on
a weekend or in the summer, we can
arrange a school celebration.
