STANDARD INFECTION CONTROL
Standard infection control procedures are
designed to protect both the health care worker
and the patient from infection with a range of
blood and other body fluid-borne viruses. By assuming everyone is potentially infectious
and by treating all clients in the same way
through following standard procedures, the risk
of infection is reduced.
All patients are considered as reservoirs of
pathogens and can cause transmission of
diseases.
