Multi-MethodEmerson Rosemount Analytical’s MLT, CLD and FID Gas Analyzer Series offers non-dispersive infrared, ultraviolet, visible photometry (NDIR/UV/VIS), electrochemical or paramagnetic oxygen sensors (eO2 / pO2) and thermal conductivity (TC) sensors, chemiluminescence (CLD) and flame ionization (FID) detectors.
Multi-Channel MLT gas analyzers continuously measure up to five components in a single enclosure.
Stand-alone or NetworkedMLT, CLD and FID Gas Analyzers can be designed as flexible stand-alone analyzers consisting of a platform with MLT, CLD or FID analyzer module plus analog and digital I/O boards. MLT Gas Analyzers can alternatively be built up as fix stand-alone analyzer complete with control module functionality and display/ operator interface - or as a central interface for multiple Analyzer Modules with a network board. In MLT/CLD/FID Analyzer systems, this feature eliminates multiplication of the display/operator interface and features significant cost and system packaging advantages.
Comprehensive CommunicationMLT Gas Analyzers offer multiple programmable I/O’s,LON network connection, serial interfaces, DeltaV and Foundation™ fieldbus connectivity.
Broadest Packaging OptionsMLT Gas Analyzers offer general purpose table-top or rack-mount packaging from portable ½ 19'' with external power supply to 19'' with internal or external power supply. Wall-mountable single or dual compartment field housings made of stainless steel are available for outdoor installations.
High Protection ClassMLT 2 field housing is designed as single or dual compartment enclosure to operate in rough environments. With IP65 protection class, the MLT 2 is proven to withstand wet and heavy-dust conditions, as well as temperature swings.
Hazardous Area SolutionsMLT 2 field housing can be fitted with Z purge pressurization systems to be operated in hazardous areas classified as Division 2.

MLT, CLD and FID Analyzer Modules (AM’s) are “blind”
analysis units but retain all the advanced design
features. MLT, CLD and FID AM’s are designed with metal
housings. Additionally MLT AM’s are also available as
rack-mount/ table-top enclosures or as wall-mountable
field housings. MLT, CLD, FID, H(ot)FID and T(hermo)FID
AM’s can be linked into NGA systems via platform or
MLT analyzer (MLT 1, 2, 3, 4).
Based on a typical MLT Analyzer or Platform, the schematic illustrates the simplicity of a networked system.

We manufacture MLT, CLD and FID Gas Analyzers for those systems with a wide range of leading-edge technologies such as MLT, which includes measurements from NDIR/UV/VIS to pO2, TCD, and electrochemical sensors to be combined with CLD and/ or FID analyzer modules. Also GC, liquid or combustion solutions such as ZrO2 and combustibles can be supplemental measurement depending on application requirement.

Gas analysis is our business, but our expertise also includes sample handling. In most cases, process gas cannot be taken directly from the process to the analyzer. Nearly all systems demand a level of application specific sample handling. Smart sample handling systems, not affecting the sample gas composition, enable samples to be safely taken from the process, prepared for analysis, and returned to process or approved disposal point.

MLT Gas Analyzers’ outstanding feature is their support of up to five measurement channels inside one single enclosure. Photometer, electrochemical, paramagnetic and thermal conductivity principles can be mixed in several configurations. Field housings with up to five compartments enable installation of thermostat controlled components (up to 120 °C as special solution) and internal sample handling options.

INNOVATION MATTERS
Rosemount Analytical’s MLT gas analyzers feature the outstanding patented Proof Peak technology gas detector with automatic sensitivity control, 30 times per second compensation, longterm stability and high accuracy. Driven by an Eddy current motor, the chopper provides a measuring frequency of approximately 120 Hz for fast response measurements.
WinControl Analyzer SoftwareWinControl by Akrobit, is a third-party software that allows you to connect your computer to the MLT, CLD, or FID gas analyzer or analyzer system and manage it more effectively.
Designed with a standard Windows® user interface in mind, the software functionality is easy to operate and the main programming functions like calibration, the ability to summarize, display and work with your data makes interpreting analysis much simpler. The modular structure of WinControl also allows you to configure your own individual program variant containing the options which are relevant to you. In addition, DDE and OLE standard support allows the integration of different applications with this data acquisition program.

1 Detector
Each detector undergoes a helium leak test. Extremely low leakage rates are achieved through the use of a unique glass soldering technique for the detector and special steel cells.

5Chopper
Each chopper is tested for deviation relating to turning frequency and the possible influence of temperature changes (ambient temperature up to 70 °C). Each chopper wheel is designed with an on-board proof-peak to achieve with any rotation an automatic gain
control resulting in very long span stability.
Linearization
For each measurement requiring a linearization, Rosemount Analytical performs a raw measurement of the data. Next, a linearization curve is calculated. Finally, the functionality of the linearization is validated.
Long-Term
Every analyzer is tested for long term drift stabilty verifying that no abnormal behavior shows up.
3 Climate Chamber
Every analyzer undergoes 48-hour climate testing in an environmental chamber. With this test, the analyzer is optimized for minimum temperature error. This assesses temperature compensation and verifies the overall
performance.

Communications Capabilities
Flexible I/O - SIO and DIO
The standard analog SIO board provides up to eight analog outputs. Digital DIO boards offer each eight digital inputs and 24 digital outputs.
The MLT Analyzer or AM allows one SIO and one DIO board while a platform is designed to implement one SIO and up to four DIO boards.
