Trip to Traffic Park
School children are one of the most vulnerable categories of road users. Unlike
grown-ups, children can be easily molded and what they learn at this stage
remains in their minds forever.
The objective of the trip was to educate the
children about various Traffic Rules. The
children were accompanied by school teachers.
On reaching their destination, the children,
after taking a round, were updated about
various road signs and traffic rules that one
needs to follow when on road. The children
grasped the information with utmost interest. It was indeed a learning
experience for the students. Chocolates & certificates were given to students as
a token of love from the authorities.
World Heritage Week
is celebrated in India from 19 – 25 November every year.
The students of class IV were taken for a Heritage walk to Sunder Nursery,
Delhi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on 27 Nov. 2018 It was led by community
heritage volunteers from Nizamuddin. The main attraction was the Central

and a pond with lotus of different colours. While exploring this place the
students felt the historical vibes emanating from each and every part of the
nursery.

There are six historical structures within the nursery. Sunder Burj, one of the 6
monuments, is an alluring tomb that features intricate inscriptions on the
walls, and star-shaped patterns on the ceiling. Apart from the historical aspect,
the students also learnt about an environmentally beneficial ecology.
To make the students aware, respect and value the
cultural heritage of our country, an educational trip to
Humayun’s Tomb, New Delhi was organized on 8th
October for students of Class III. The students learnt
about the architectural style of the structure and its
importance in our history. To further enhance their

War I and about “Amar Jawan
Jyoti”

bright sunny morning.
My Expressions
The art of storytelling is about bringing stories
to life and puppets provide us with a great way
to do just that. Hand Puppets are an ideal
springboard for developing speaking and
listening skills. Keeping this in mind Story
Narration using hand puppets was held on 13th
October 2018 on the day of the Parents’ Teachers’
Meet.

Students of classes I to V enthusiastically participated in various activities as a part of
Diwali celebrations and activities in the month of November. The little ones of classes

beautiful wall hangings using pastel sheets, a medley of colours, patterns, textures and

IV made vibrant and attractive rangolis again using papers. Diwali is incomplete
without hanging a toran(door decor) of the entry door. The class V brigade made
Diwali torans using paper and other decoration material. The above activities are
organised frequently to encourage, nurture and showcase every child's natural or
innate creative flair and imagination.
