Roommate Relations After living with your roommate for a few weeks, it is important to keep these quick points in mind! Whether you’re living with life-long friends, or strangers,
these tips will help you succeed!
Communicate! Is there something your roommate
does that just annoys you? Don’t let silly problems get out of hand—talk to each other, be mature, and have fun! If you
bottle up your problems for too long...you’re bound to explode!
...But if bigger problems do arise, take advantage of your resources—your Resident Assistant (RA) is a great person to assist
you in mediation!
Remember that thing you were taught in kindergarten? The
Golden Rule? This applies perfectly to living with someone
new—clean your dishes, respect your roomie’s privacy, keep your area neat, and your roomies will (hopefully) do the same!
