Using his abilities to learn the artifact's secrets, instead he witnesses thedestruction of his hometown through the eyes of the villain that committedthe act. Dack sets out to track her down at her next destination: Innistrad.

Arriving in the new plane, Dack stumbles into a desperate fight in an Innbetween two cathars and a group of vicious vampires, led by Baron EkhartVon Falkenrath. As the group manages to flee, Falkenrath gives chase but theAncient Fang beats him back. Dack and one of the cathars, Ingrid Reichart,return to her town. Meanwhile, Falkenrath confronts a mysterious womanat his manor, the previous owner of the Ancient Fang: Sifa Grent.
