Page 1: Let's Go Back To The Mount

Let’s do what Jesus said in the Sermon of the Mount  Faced with so many currents, denominations, styles, traditions, cultures and customs, it is difficult to                             know who is doing what is right, according to the will of God, but Jesus clearly explained the basic                                     principles we should follow as God's children, and that it is written in the Sermon on the Mount. You                                     can meet, congregate and be a member of any denomination, organization, Ministry or Church, that                             accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, but make sure you only follow what Jesus said in the                                   Sermon on the Mount.  Whom God blesses: God blesses those who are poor in spirit and realize their need for Him, those who mourn, those who                                     are humble, those who hunger and thirst for justice, those who are merciful, those whose hearts are                                 pure, those who work for peace and those who are persecuted for doing right. To all of those, the                                     Kingdom of Heaven is theirs, they will be comforted, will inherit the whole earth, they will be satisfied,                                   they will be shown mercy, they will see God and they will be called the children of God. Also, God                                       blesses those who are mocked, persecuted, lied about and against whom have been said all sorts of                                 evil things, because they are followers of Jesus. Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward                                     awaits you in heaven. Matthew 5:112  What should I do?  You must obey God’s laws and teach others to do the same, because that gives you entrance into the                                     kingdom of heaven. You are the light of the world, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that                                           everyone will praise your heavenly Father. Matthew 5:1320  Do not be angry with anyone, do not call anyone an idiot, and do not curse anyone, because you will                                       be subject to judgment, in danger of being sentenced and in danger of the fires of hell. Do not present                                       an offering to God if someone has something against you. Go and be reconciled to that person, then

Page 2: Let's Go Back To The Mount

come and present your offering to God. Settle quickly the differences you have with others, because                               the unresolved differences, might make you lose your spiritual freedom. Matthew 5:2126  Do not look with lust someone other than your spouse, because if you do, you've committed adultery                                 with that person in your heart. The sins are committed with actions and also with intent, that is,                                   thoughts and desires. Therefore, avoid all desires and thoughts that go against God's Word.                           Remember that even though sin is made legal, such as divorce or not illegal, such as adultery, is still                                     sin against God's law. Matthew 5:2732  Don’t make vows to God, for a vow indicates that you are in control to fulfill that vow or oath, and only                                           God is in control. Just say: Yes, I will or not, I won’t. Anything else is not pleasing to God, because is                                           comes from the evil one. Matthew 5:3337  Justice belongs to God. Don’t take revenge, nor seek compensation for the damage that have been                               done to you. Forget the law that says: An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. Don’t resist an evil                                             person. If someone hits you physically or emotionally, don’t return the blow. If something is taken                               from you, don’t fight. If someone uses their power over you, do twice what is asked from you. Justice                                     is God’s. So don’t judge nor question other people's needs. Give to those who ask and don’t turn                                   away from those who want to borrow. Matthew 5:3842  Don’t hate anyone. You should love everyone, including your enemies and you should also pray for                               them. That way, you will be acting as true children of your Father who is in heaven. As He loves all,                                         both the evil and the good, the just and the unjust alike. If you love only those who love you, what                                         reward is there for that? Even corrupt evil people do that much. But you are to be perfect, loving                                     everyone, even as your Father in heaven is perfect, and loves all equally. Matthew 5:4348  What is for God, do it in private, only for Him and not in front of the world to impress others:  ● Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your

Father in heaven. When you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your                                   right is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.                                 Matthew 6:14

● When you pray, don’t do it in public, where everyone can see you, because you will lose the                                   reward from your Father who is in heaven. When you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door                                   behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward                                 you. When you pray, don’t talk endlessly repeating the same words over and over again. That's                               not necessary, because your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him.Pray                               like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May                                   your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our                                           sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation, but                                   rescue us from the evil one. If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will                                   forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins. Matthew                                 6:515

● When you fast, don’t make it obvious, so people will admire you for your fasting, because you will                                   lose the reward from your Father who is in heaven. When you fast, don’t let anyone notice that                                   you are fasting, except your Father, who knows what you do in private. And your Father, who sees                                   everything, will reward you. Matthew 6:1618

Don’t have any earthly and material goals, that place your destiny in the world. God's goals for you,                                   are much higher than the world’s. You must have celestial and spiritual goals, which place your                               destiny in heaven:  ● Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where they are lost because everything is temporary.

Store your treasures in heaven, where they are never lost, because it is eternal. If your treasures                                 are on earth, your heart will be on earth and that will be your destiny. If your treasures are in                                       heaven, your heart will be in heaven and that will be your destiny. What you long for is your                                     destiny, if you long for the darkness of earthly wealth, you will live in darkness. But if you long for                                       the light of heavenly riches, you will live in the light. And, if the light you think you have in your                                         your wealth, it's really darkness, how deep that darkness is! You cannot serve both God and                               money. Matthew 6:1924

● That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life and material possessions. Life is much more                                     than material possessions and your Father provides you everything you need. Also, why do you                             worry about material things, if you can not add a single moment to your life? When you worry                                   about material things, you show little faith in God, who is the owner of all creation. That’s the way                                     those who do not know God, think, but you are His child and your heavenly Father already knows                                   all your needs. What you have to do is to seek the Kingdom of God above all else and live a life                                           according to God's will and his commands, and He will give you everything you need. So don’t                                 worry about tomorrow, because every day brings its own worries. The problems of today are                             sufficient for today. Matthew 6:2534

The Principles of God for you, are based on the principle of planting and harvesting. Choose well the                                   seed that you will plant and the ground where are going to plant it:  ● Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The

criteria you use to judge others, is the same criteria by which you will be judged. Don’t see the                                     flaws of others, because you have your own shortcomings. How can you criticize and judge others                               for their weaknesses, when you already have enough of your own weaknesses? Do not be                             hypocritical and deal with your own weaknesses. Judging is Holy and only God is Holy. Therefore,                               if one that is not holy makes judgment, that same judgment will return against him. Only God can                                   judge. Matthew 7:16

● Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find, for your                                       Father is God Almighty, who can do everything and for whom nothing is impossible. But as He is a                                     good Father, He will never give you something that hurts you or that is not good for you.Of course                                       not! Your heavenly Father will give you all the that is good, the best, which is excellent, but                                   sometimes you ask Him something you think is good, but He will not give it to you, because He                                     knows that what you saw as a bread, it was really a stone and what you saw like a fish, was really                                           a snake. He will only give you what you need to achieve your celestial purpose. Matthew 7:711

● Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in                                           the law and the prophets. This is known as the Golden Rule and is the gateway to heaven. Jesus                                     warns you that this rule is difficult for you and it is a narrow gate. It also alerts you that the road to                                             hell is broad, comfortable and the gate is wide for the many who choose that path. However, the                                   gateway to eternal life in heaven is a very narrow way, is difficult, and is summarized is that                                   golden rule. Only a few people ever find it by themselves without the Light of Jesus and He wants                                     you to find it and that you help many others to find it. Matthew 7:1214

● Beware of the prophets, teachers and teachings that come to confuse you and get you lost. You                                 can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they behave. A good tree produces good fruit                                     and a bad tree produces bad fruit. That's right, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, you can

Page 4: Let's Go Back To The Mount

identify people by their actions. Those who act according to the Sermon on the Mount, are the true                                   disciples of Jesus. Matthew 7:1520

● Those who truly do the will of our Father who is in heaven, are the only ones who will enter                                       heaven. The appearances of actions, do not count and not even the apparent good results                             achieved, will count. Only acting according to the true will of God, expressed in the Sermon on the                                   Mount, will count. Matthew 7:2123

● If you listen to the teachings of Jesus and follow them, you are wise, like a person who builds a                                       house on solid rock. Although nature and the world beat against that house it won’t collapse                               because it is built on bedrock. However, if you hear my teachings and you don’t obey them, you                                   are a fool, like a person who builds his house on sand. When nature and the world beat against                                     that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.. Matthew 7:2427

Jesus impacted the crowds who were amazed with the Sermon on the Mount, because he spoke with                                 real authority, quite unlike their teachers of religious law of that time.  Jesus continues to impact the crowds of our time who are still amazed with the Sermon on the Mount,                                     because He continues to speak with real authority, completely different from what many teachers                           teach today, especially with their example.
