THE ASSOCIATE OF OCCUPATIONAL SCIENCE FINE ARTS: ACTING
The Associate Degree in Fine Arts - Acting at LAPAC is designed to train the actor in a formal academicsetting and offers a variety of techniques that allow the expression of emotional truth in every performance.The actor will receive a well-rounded education from the classic, to the contemporary, to the avant-garde, propelling them to chameleon-like performances for the stage and screen.
Goals and Objectives of the Associate Degree in Acting
To complete a formal, well-rounded, comprehensive degreed program tailored to the actor.
To achieve fluency in the techniques of American acting: Meisner, Adler, Strasberg, Chekhov,Hagen, and Yale School of Drama, placing the actor in an echelon above all others.
To realize mastery of our signature program, The Entertainment Keys to Success ™, giving the actorthe necessary edge in the creation of character, in the world of auditions, and effectivecommunication with colleagues in the work place.
To provide solid film and television acting techniques, setting the groundwork for careers on thescreen.

SCREENWRITING
The Associate Degree in Fine Arts - Screenwriting at LAPAC is a structured process of training that
exposes each student to the essential aspects of this unique form of writing.
Goals & Objectives of the Associate Degree in Screenwriting
To complete a formal, well-rounded, comprehensive degreed program tailored to the screenwriter.
From the history of cinema and the basics of storytelling, to the art of dialogue and story structure,each student will have an opportunity to embrace every aspect of the screenwriting process and will be guided through that process by seasoned professionals.
The students will learn the basic tools and requirements for good screenwriting, and througha series of exercises and assignments, will explore each tool repeatedly until mastery becomes second nature.
Filmmaking is a highly collaborative medium and the collaboration begins with the development of agood script.
Besides acquiring the necessary skills and tools to write a compelling script, students at LAPAC are

The Directing Program at LAPAC is designed for the director who is in need of communication and technicaltools to effectively bring out the desired performances from actors, as well as staging, blocking, and rehearsaltechniques. Many film schools focus on the technical aspects of the camera but neglect the Actor’s Language
and Process, we fill that gap.
Goals and Objectives for the Directing Program
To learn to tell each story in a personal, passionate, and accomplished manner in the complex high-tech form, which takes the script to the screen.

ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
The ESL Program at LAPAC is designed for any individual seeking to learn English as a SecondLanguage. We provide the unique twist of applying methods from film, television, and stage acting, to better aid the individual in delivery, tone, style, physical appearance, gestures, body language, andconfidence, regardless of their field of interest. In addition, our ESL Program is tailored to suit thespecific needs of future actors, screenwriters, and directors by uniquely filling the language gap thatwill allow them to pursue performing arts careers in English speaking countries.
Goals & Objectives of the ESL Certificate Program
To provide an iterative process of training that will expose ever more difficult levels of Englishreading, writing, vocabulary, speech, and comprehension.

In addition, depending on the program, please submit:
Acting Program : 3-5 minute acting reel
Directing Program : 5-7 minute reel of something shot or directed by the applicant;
or a 5-7 page creative writing sample Screenwriting Program : 5-7 pages of creative writing sample
