Purpose
To establish a genuine partnership/collaboration
amongst the CPAN groups in order to raise
awareness and motivate the involvement of the
CPAN within the social and economic development
of the environment and the technological innovation
Objectives
• To bridge the gap between academia and industry
• To develop the image of the CPAN community as a source of knowledge
• To facilitate the transfer to the industry of knowledge
• To provide support to new initiatives
KT-CPAN
KT-CPAN
Activity 1: Information and diffusion • On calls and opportunities • Participation in meeting, conference, workshop • Dissemination of research results
Activity 2: Support and advice • Negotiation of contractual relation between CPAN and
socioeconomic environment • Finding funding and projects application to calls • IP • Setting up spin-off business
Activity 3: Relations with other institutions • TTN, CDTI, KTOs, RUVID, RedOTRI … • Identification of potential partners for technology transfer
Activity 4: Management • DB • Web
KT-CPAN : Technological Applications
Examples:
• Detector development. Bump-bonding. Chemical Mechanical Polishing. PDs, SiPM (IMB)
• Pixel development (IFAE)
• DIRAC Grid (UB)
• Medical instrumentation (IFIC)
• Metrology in nuclear environments. Monitorisation of nuclear waste (IFCA)
• Software for iterative reconstruction OSEM of PET studies (UCM)
• Radiation effects on digital circuits and optical devices (US)
Objectives in joining the TTN
• To provide a tangible approach to address TT issues in
Particle Physics and related fields in an international level.
• To ensure more effective exploitation of research by the
social and enterprise sector.
• Exchange of the expertise and experience between the
members.
