styleofMahatmaGandhi.ThedemystifiedanddecentralizedcommunitybasedBarefootModelhasbeenimplementedinover76oftheLeastDevelopedCountries,atotalof40,000housesinover1,000villageshavebeensolarelectrifiedbyover700illiterateruralgrandmothers.Theyaretrainedin6monthsassolarengineersusingonlysign language.Thewrittenandspokenword isnotused.BunkerRoygaveaTEDtalkatTEDGlobalinEdinburghinOctober2011.Ithasaccruedover3.5millionviewersandbeentranslatedinto45languages.
