Indian StandardSPECIFICATION FOR ZINEB WATER
DISPERSIBLE POWDERS
(First Revision)
o. FORE WORD
0.1 This Indian Standard was adopted by the Indian Standards Institutionon 28 July 1981. after the draft finalized by the Pest Control SectionalCommittee had been approved by the Agricultural and Food ProductsDivision Council and the Chemical Division Council.
0.2 Zineb water dispersible powder is used for the control of diseasesof plants.
0.3 Zineb water dispersible powder is generally manufactured to contain75 percent ( mjm ) zineb content.
0.4 This standard was first published in 1966. Subsequently four amendments were issued. The present revision incorporates latest packing andmarking requirements and additional requirements like zinc. Opportunityhas been taken to give references for test methods as given in IS : 6940 1973* for the sake of uniformity.
0.5 In the preparation of this standard, due consideration has been given tothe provisions of the Insecticides Act, 1968and the Rules framed thereunder. However, this standard is subject to the restrictions imposed under these, wherever applicable.
0.6 For the purpose of deciding whether a particular requirement ofthis standard is complied with, the final value, observed or calculated, expressing the result of a test or analysis, shall be rounded off in accordancewith IS : 2 - 196Ot. The number of significant places retained in the rounded oft' value should be the same as that of the specified value in thisstandard.
