• Mukoziliäre Dysfunktion ist eine charakteristische Störung bei obstruktiven Atemwegserkrankungen (CF, Asthma, COPD) und führt zu Mukusobstruktion, bakterieller Infektion und Entzündung
• Neues MCC Modell und Befunde aus Tiermodellen: Mukus-Hyperkonzentration (durch Ionentransportstörung oder Mukushypersekretion) kritischer Mechanismus der mukoziliären Dysfunktion und Mukusobstruktion
