1. Uninterrupted learning thorough online regular classes-
In this phase of Covid_19 Lock Down , New Horizon College of engineering has extended their
mission of Uninterrupted learning process by conducting regular online classes .
2. Mental wellbeing through Online counselling
In this phase of lock down in order to promote mental well-being of students
counselling session was conducted by Dr. Reena Jain , Concelling Expert from
NHCE, an internationally registered clinical psychologist with over 20 years of
experience in providing internal and external teaching and consulting services
across the broad spectrum of Human behaviour, mental health- counselling
/therapies. She emphasised upon analyzing new ways of adjustment to this ever-
changing environment.
A talk by principal NHCE Dr. Manjunath was organised on 19th of April to guide
students on effectively managing academics during covid -19 lockdown.
A webinar was organised for students to help them cope up with studies by
NHCE Dean Dr. Prashant CSR and professor Gurucharan Singh Executive
director HRD, NHCE .
3. Mentoring Session by Faculty- Healthy and supportive relationships are crucial during
this phase of Lock down due to pandemic. To make students comfortable, understand
and honour the emotions and remains open for communication motoring sessions were
organised by faculties. Some Glimpses of the same .
4. Online career Counselling Session By Faculties– Faculties from Department of
management studies New Horizon college of engineering conducted career counselling
session on 15th and 16th of April. Where the students of BCom and BBA where guided
about career opportunities available.

5. Fund Donated towards PM Care –
The Chairman of New Horizon Educational Institution has donated Rupees 5 Crore Towards
PM Care Funds .
6. Hostel facility to out station students – New Horizon College of Engineering strives to
continue hostel facility for the students not able to go back to their native before the
lockdown.
7. Awareness program –
NHCE committed towards Social responsibility in the hours of crisis extended the Awareness
campaign against coronavirus towards the villages adopted, Whatsapp groups are created
for the villages.
a. The Advisory to farmers for rabi crops, Information about pesticide, fertiliser
shop and seed manufacturer and state advisory for farmer during lock down
(with Audio) is circulated through whatsapp in Kannada Language.
b. Methods to boost Immunity –Whatsapp message and audio related to immunity
boosting methods shared by Ministry of AYUSH is conveyed to villagers .
