Dear friends & colleagues,
we are delighted to invite you to the third edition of our International Live Course EUS-ERCPconnection: The “EURCP” concept. The first edition was held in 2012 and the course was only anational one, but it attracted more than 60 participants. In 2014 the Course shifted towards anInternational one and we collected more than 150 enthusiastic participants. Since our first meetingit has been our goal to highlight the most updated developments in EUS and ERCP and theircombined use, summed up in the new concept of EURCP, which includes a whole world of newideas and ways to approach the biliopancreatic pathology from both a diagnostic and therapeuticpoint of view. All this together with the new diagnostic and therapeutic ancillary techniques andnewly developed devices, such as peroral cholangioscopy and pancreatoscopy, intraductal ultra-sound and confocal endomicroscopy, the new LADs and, we hope, the new EURCP (ERCP-FNA)prototype scope.
Participants will be able to see live demonstration of high quality established EUS+/-FNA andERCP techniques and at the same time will have a fantastic view into the most advanced currentand future diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic management of patients with biliopancreaticdiseases. All the procedures will be performed by our fantastic guest and local faculty.
We are proud to announce that the theoretical part s of the Conference will be held in theexcellent atmosphere of the Lingotto Congress Center of Turin, with a varied and comprehensiveprogram of lectures, discussions and video presentations by experts from different countries and aSymposium for nurses on saturday,3, december. Continuous simultaneous translations (English,Italian) and an exibition of a wide range of conventional and biomedical products will be provided. The Lingotto Congress Center is located at short distance to the city center for combining work withpleasure (shopping, museums and other artistic venues, high quality restaurants). Turin (Italy) is abeautiful city with many fascinating historical monuments, excellent food and drink, and a livelycultural atmosphere and in december you can taste its fantastic pre-Christmas atmosphere with allthe city festooned with charming Christmas lights.
It is an honor and a pleasure to invite you to participate to the 3rd edition of the Turin EUS-ERCPconnection, International live Course, on December 1-3, 2016. The entire local faculty, pathologistsand anesthesiologists team, fellows and nursing team and the MAF Services organizing secretariatare pleased to welcome you all in Turin, in December 2016 and wish you a fascinating and enjoyablestay in Turin. We hope to meet you all in the Lingotto Congress Center in Turin on December 1-3,2016.

Aims of the courseEUS has well known diagnostic and staging capabilities, but lacks the effect of endo-
scopic therapy while ERCP can get histology and treat biliary obstruction, but lacksstaging capabilities.
So in the last years the idea of a combination of EUS and ERCP has caught on and thisintegration can provide most of the information needed for managing biliary and pancre-atic pathology. Aim of this advanced live Course is to provide the instruments for learningthe new possibilities of interventional EUS and the therapeutic and new diagnosticcapabilities of ERCP preceded or followed by EUS procedures (EUS with or without FNA,IntraDuctal UltraSound - IDUS, Extraductal UltraSound - EDUS). All this together with thenew diagnostic and therapeutic ancillary techniques and newly developed devices, suchas peroral cholangioscopy and pancreatoscopy, confocal endomicroscopy and the correctuse of new concept stents, named luminal apposition devices and new prototype in thefield of the EURCP concept.
Participants will be given the opportunity to learn from a theoretical point of viewindications, new techniques and new devices in the field of biliopancreatic interven-tions by means of several lectures, discussions and video presentations and a dedicatedsymposium for nurses and also they will be given the possibility to see the same proce-dures and devices applied in more than 10 hours of live clinical cases both in the ERCPand EUS FNA rooms, with the opportunity of direct interaction between the audience andwell-known experts from many countries.

Learning objectives of the Course• Evaluate recent advances in EUS and ERCP; assess their clinical usefulness and
level of evidence• Apply new endosonographic and endoscopic techniques, instruments and devices
in biliopancreatic diseases• Compare them with standard and traditional procedures and accessories• Choose the optimal EUS and/or ERCP approach and ancillary tecniques for specific
case management• Manage failed interventions and adverse events• Demonstrate the need and the importance of an interdisciplinary approach• Recognize the importance of quality in EUS and ERCP and in the combined EUS-ERCP
approach
