Occupation Groups with Greatest Percent of Total Job Loss, Colorado
Statewide Loss in Worker EarningsThis table estimates the gross
loss in worker earnings* to
Colorado’s economy from

the number of unemployment
claims by occupational family in
that time period.
Note that this $942.2 million loss

Thus, even with unemployment
insurance payments as a safety
net, the net reduction in worker
earnings has been $742.1
million over the last 7 weeks.
*Reduction in worker earnings is based on the proportion of claims by occupational family adjusted for the time period and the percent of layoffs that occurred each week.
