Working with Industry to REDUCE COSTS
20
• Reduce BOP flat time through increased efficiency and reliability.
• IADC WG with participation from OEM's
• Raising awareness of Cost increase to industry arising from new
BSEE BOP final rule
• Concern that the rule may spread rapidly around the world – (No
one wants to be seen as opposing safety!)
• IADC’s intervention has made a significant impact on the final
rule.
• BOP Reliability Data Base Project
• Joint project IOGP/IADC
• 100% funded by participants (Currently @70% funding)
