I Amnesty, One Amnesty It is my honor to write a greeting note to you, members of AI Thailand on this February e-newsletter, I Amnesty. Writing anything too substantial here is difficult for me, especially in the beginning on unfamiliar matters. So I am please to share you on my opportunity to attend the meeting in London in the early of February. It was a chance for Amnesty's campaigners from around the world to get together. The meeting makes me feel on the potential of a systematic people's movement and the working
spirit from people who are in difference of countries
and languages. While they debated on the issues, they also respected each other. Although Amnesty's activists are the represent of
diversities, such as nationalities, religions, and interests, but one thing that brought us all together and to be a reason inspiring me, a "little" people, was Amnesty’s activists caring for the lives of others regardless their nationality,
gender, sexual orientation, religious, ethnic, political beliefs or other conscientiously-held beliefs, and social status. This is because Amnesty believes that we all are born with freedom and equality both in dignity and rights.
This is not just a feeling, but it is a way of thinking about living together as one society that respects diversity. It is also not merit-making or doing good deeds, but rather a shared responsibility: sharing the joy and suffering of life together, even this suffer may be occurred in another part of the world. I am grateful to all members of Amnesty International who are part of a movement for change. "I Amnesty" One Amnesty, We are respect for diversity and human dignity.
