POINTS TO NOTE WHEN INPUTTING MARKS
3 mark boxes for each Area for each Year for each Student
Accept 0 to 10 marks (integer only) with ‘0 mark’ meaning
extremely poor performance.
If the number of assessment marks entered for a student for an
ability area exceeds the minimum requirement, the system will
automatically average out the marks in the calculation of the
final SBA mark of that student.
F = fail to complete the task
E = exempted from SBA (permission by HKEAA sought and
granted)
P = Serious Plagiarism Cases

PLAGIARISM – PREVENTION; HANDLING;
CONSEQUENCES 1. Preventing plagiarism in SBA:
Asking students to sign a declaration form (available at http://www.hkeaa.edu.hk/en/sba/forms/); ONE form for ALL subjects
2. Handling plagiarism cases http://www.hkeaa.edu.hk/en/SBA/faqs/faq_02.html
3. Consequence The levels of penalty to be imposed for proven P cases are as
follows:
Zero marks will be given to the task in which serious plagiarism is proven. In addition, a penalty of downgrade by one level will be imposed in the subject concerned
For extreme cases, e.g. repeated offence of plagiarism, candidates may be subject to disqualification from the subject(s) concerned or the whole examination

• Contact the SBA Team of the HKEAA for questions related to logistical arrangements.
• Discuss with your District Coordinator for subject-related questions.
• Explain to the student the accommodation, or why accommodation is not necessary.
• Mark in the student work the kind of accommodation / exemption involved if being selected for submission to the HKEAA.

REMINDERS
Only student work with marks submitted to
HKEAA are required.
The work for each student should be zipped to
one single file if the work contains more than one
file.
If need scanning, advise students to use A4 paper to do their homework.
If one or two reports were lost, mark in the first page of the student work file, e.g. Chan Tai Man has lost report #2 and #5.
Attach questions/guidelines in the student work file for the convenience of checking by District Coordinators.

Suggested file naming convention:
[Subject Abbreviation] [(6-digit Student
Document Number)].[File extension]
e.g. INTSC(123456).zip INTSC (362880).pdf
INTSC (246800).doc
Student Document Number is the beginning 6
digits of the identity document of a student.
The system only accepts file formats of zip, pdf,
txt, doc, docx, rtf, ppt, pptx, xls, xlsx, csv,
mp4, mp3, mpg, wmv, avi, jpg or tif.
The file size limit for each student’s work file is
15MB.

REQUEST FOR A CHANGE OF STUDENT(S) FOR
WORK SUBMISSION
If the work of any chosen student cannot be located, or involves
any irregularities (such as mark penalty being imposed due to
partial plagiarism or late submission), the Subject Panel should
contact the SBA Team at 3628 8068.
Subject Panel should download the ‘Change of Student Work
for SBA Work Submission’ form from ‘Mark Reports’ under
‘Reports’ menu.
Complete the section for the school and fax the form to 3628 8091.
After confirming the arrangement, the HKEAA will fax the
amended form to the school for school’s record.

Teachers are to remind S5 students of the
importance of proper keeping of the assessed
reports, as their work may have to be submitted
when marks are submitted in S6
