Tech center students visit state Capitol
The Marion County Conservation District hosted their annual Jim Claypool Art & Writing Banquet Monday, March 12, at the Marion County Extension Office. The 2011 theme was “Where Kentucky’s Wild Things Are.” Students expressed opinions on how they believe wildlife contributes to our natural resources and conservation issues through art or a descriptive essay. Through support of local business and industry, the Marion County Area Technology Center recog-nizes outstanding students by a Student of the Month Program. Every month, one student from each of the nine program areas is recognized for outstanding academic achievement, good atten-dance, strong work ethic and/or class participation.
Marion Adjustment Center was March Student of the Month sponsor. Recipients had lunch and took a tour on March 16, 2012.
