LEARNING GROWING CARING
PRINCIPAL MATTERS
I would like to thank our Hastings Public School community for your patience, understanding and ongoing support this week during the difficult conditions that have occurred affecting so many in our local area and neighbouring towns. Our school was fortunate that no damage was sustained on site and our staff and students who were able returned to regular schooling routine on Thursday. It is sad to see the many people in our town that have been affected by this natural disaster. We thank all those who have assisted when needed from neighbours, emergency services, volunteers and community organisations, all of whom give their time and resources to help out. It is truly uplifting to see once again. Our thought’s go to Telegraph Point Public School community who were inundated with flood water last week. Our school has offered resources to assist in the interim arrangements so the staff and students will continue schooling at another site while Telegraph Point School is repaired. Nigel Sherrard Principal Nellie Mann displaying her drawing depicting the recent floods and its devastation. It is wonderful to see such caring and empathy from our students.
