Computer Coach Evaluation for Reference Desk Staff Agree = 5 Disagree = 1
Having the computer coach program 5 5 5 5 4 5 5 5 5has made a positive difference in mywork experience at the reference desk avg. 4.89
Comments:It helps to have someone accesible‐Patrons seem very satisfied with this.Very helpful to have the computer coach especially when working the reference desk alone.Yes, having this volunteer available frees me up to answer more reference questions & less printer & computer questions. The patrons like the extra help.Yes‐ especially from the patron's perspective. They have given positive feedback to the Reference Desk staff. I find it helpful to have an alternative when patrons need more in depth assistance. The computer coach's have been very helpful. People are becoming more aware that we have them. The only problem is when they don't show up for their shift. Hopefully having a call list will help this.It helps the librarians be available at the desk and helps the patrons use the technology. The Computer Coach lends invaluable assistance to Reference Desk staff and patrons by giving one on one assistance to patrons who require more assistance than desk staff is able to provide (especially when the desk is staffed with one person). Kudos to our computer coaches‐‐a very valuable service! It's reassuring having an "expert" on hand and a real plus for patrons‐ they can get a quick answer or a real tutorial whichever they wish. They are wonderful they free up my time to attend to real library questions. Most of them are cheerful, positive, and enjoy dealing with our difficult patrons.Great Job by all!
