Introduction The new templates have two functions:
Give the presenter an easy to use basis for creating excellent presentations.
Strengthen the image of EURESCOM through the use of corporate design elements like logo, colour and fonts.
The following guidelines help the presenter to apply his individual style without violating the corporate design.

It is recommended to use the deep blue template only, if a dark background is required by the organiser. Importing slides from other presentations and printing handouts might cause problems.

Fonts The only font allowed for presentations is
Arial, including Arial Rounded MT Bold for the title.
In general, the given font colour for the grey-white and white template is black, for the deep blue template white.
Exception: Text with coloured background and links can be different, but should by all means be readable and pleasant for the eye.

Slide transition and animation You are free to use all available slide
transitions and animations. However, we would recommend to make
only moderate use of these effects, because too many might distract from the contents you are presenting.

Insert images and other objects You can insert images and movies via
‘Insert’ in the menu. Preferably insert pictures that are
downsized to 72 pixels per inch and use a data-reduced file format like jpg or gif.
It is recommended not to use sound. If you think it is necessary to do so, make sure there is a sufficient sound system.

The use of speaker notes You have the option to write notes that
you can print out for giving your presentation (‘View / Speaker Notes’).
Notes can help avoid a common mistake: Some speakers only read the text on their slides, which is boring.
Notes can also be used for handouts.

Produce handouts For printing handouts go to ‘File / Print’
(shortcut ‘CTRL + P’) and select under ‘Print what’ the type of handout.
We recommend to use the option ‘Handouts (2 slides per page)’, or - if you have notes for most of the slides - use the option ‘Notes Pages’. Edit header and footer at ‘View / Notes Page’.
