2.00-3.00 pm : Guided Tour of Château de Bruniquel
Discover the castles of Bruniquel, located in
"One of the most beautiful villages in France".
This village, perched on a rocky peak, offers you
two beautiful castles, the old castle dating
from the twelfth and fourteenth century, and the young castle
of the fifteenth century.

3.00 pm : Departure for Saint Antonin-Noble-Val
3.45-4.15 pm : Meeting on the Roc d’Anglars on the top of the cliff facing the village of
St Antonin Noble Val for presentation of the leisure activities to do in the Aveyron
Gorges.
4.30-5.30 pm : Activities according to the weather
Conditions.
1 hour canoe kayak in the Gorges of Aveyron.
Departure from Saint Antonin-Noble-Val to the Parc
Aventures (tree climbing course ).
OR 1 hour of cycling in the nature
6.00 pm : Transfer by coach to Vaissac
6.30 pm : Chek-in at Terrassier hotel in Vaissac
In the small village of Vaïssac, six miles from the Gorges de l'Aveyron, the hotel Terrassier

10.00 am : Arrival in Bouziès, boarding at the Harbour of Bouziès
10.15 am : Cruising on the Lot river, on a replica of a traditional boat « gabarre » Les « Croisières de Saint-Cirq Lapopie » offer several cruises on the Lot river, from Bouziès
or St-Cirq Lapopie. On authentic wooden gabares, set off to see a towpath hewn out of the
base of a cliff, and of course the clifftop village of Saint-Cirq-
Lapopie, of which you get an unrivalled view from the river.

beautiful villages in France », then have a lunch in a traditional
restaurant
Saint-Cirq-Lapopie belongs to the exclusive group of « the Most
Beautiful Villages in France». It consists of a network of narrow old
streets and houses dating from the mediaeval period. The site itself is majestic: a rocky spur
standing high above the river.

rambling on the Sensitive Natural Area of « Les Caselles » in Marcilhac/Célé

Figeac, a Town of Art and History, possesses remarkable examples of civic architecture from
the Middle Ages to the 19thC., and is an important stop on the Santiago Pilgrim Ways.
Jean-François Champollion, who deciphered the code of hieroglyphics, was born here: his
family home is now “The Writing Systems of the World” museum, with a replica of the
Rosetta Stone (a contemporary art work) in an adjoining courtyard.

9:15 am : Guided Tour of Conques (village, Treasure and
abbey-church).
Conques is awarded as “Plus Beaux Villages de France” and “Great Site Occitania”.
The abbey-church and the pilgrims’ bridge are listed on the UNESCO World Heritage
Sites in regards of the Compostela trails.
Major halt of the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela (GR65), Conques is also a
reference for its:
- medieval goldsmith art (Saint-Foy Treasure)
- Romanesque architecture with the Abbey-church and its tympanum of the Last Judgment,
- and contemporary art (stained-glass windows by Pierre Soulages) that you will discover
from the church upper-gallery.
This medieval village nestled in a natural preserved setting shelters numerous talents in its
alleys.
