The Year In Review
Well, the year is almost gone, and it's that time of year for Cele-
brations and Holiday parties with friends and family. If you're like me,
I wonder just where did the year go? It"s pretty obvious that as we age
the time just seems to fly by. Maybe it's retirement, or just that we live
in a faster age, where everyone is in a hurry to go somewhere or to
get something done. Whatever the case, this time of year we all need
to just slow down, and enjoy the Blessings of Friends and Family and
what they mean to us. 372581-01
In looking back at the year, we have said goodbye to some dear
friends, whose kind words and memories ,have given us all a reason
to smile. We have supported each other in good times, and the sad. We
have also made new memories and strengthened friendships that
have stood the test of time. Did everything go as always planned? not
everything, but what we did accomplish, was done together as family.
That is the glue that holds a Chapter together. I’m sure you all have
your favorite memories of this past year.
For me, it was being able to retire and spend time with my
spouse and you my Chapter family. I am so blessed, and thankful for
all the safe years out there on the road. As I look towards the future
and the new year, I hope that we can all continue this journey of life to-
gether. Life shouldn’t be judged by what we accomplish, but by the
memories and impressions we leave behind. As for us, Chapter “T”
will always be part of our family and your friendships will forever be
in our hearts.
.
As we get into this Holiday season, I hope that your days are happy and
healthy, your travels are safe, and that you hold dear what Christmas is all
about. Our nation so much wants to take away the true story and meaning of
Christmas. The story of Love, and the greatest gift ever given. Christmas is
love in its purest form, So from our family to yours, Merry Christmas and
God Bless you Everyone.

signed Christmas Stocking. Something nice for the Chinese auction and of
course yourself for a fun evening sharing the holiday together with your
Chapter “T” family. That’s December 14th at Oakhurst Tea Room. Social
hour starts at 5 pm with dinner at 6 pm.
See you there.

Greetings fellow Chapter T Gold Wingers,
By the time you receive this newsletter Thanksgiving will be past; however, I still think of all the things I am truly grateful for. The first, of course, is my fam-ily. They have been my strength and joy through rough times and good times. The second is my GWRRA family. Every member of GWRRA is considered family. I found that no matter what chapter you visit you are greeted with friendship. My Chapter T family has been especially special. Rick and I have often said, “We would not have made this many friends and seen so many places if not for our Chapter T family.” For this we are truly grateful and cher-ish every memory and friendship we made. Let’s hope for many more years to come.
We are looking forward to the Chapter T Christmas party of December 14 at the Oakhurst Tea Room. Check out the flyer on the website. Social hour be-gins at 5:00 and dinner at 6:00. It sounds like a fun time is being planned. We are really looking forward to seeing all the decorated stockings that I’m sure everyone will bring! This is a great opportunity to celebrate with your Chapter T friends and family. Make sure you come so you don’t miss the fun.
Hope to see everyone soon. Ride safe!
One fine summer's evening, Gene, Leonard and Dick are riding back home from the bar, all three of them on Gene’s motorcycle.
Of course, they get stopped by a cop who says to them, "This motorcycle is only licensed to carry two people, and there are three of you. One of you will have to get off and walk."
"Three of us?" says Gene as he turns to Leonard. "Jeez, what happened to Gary and Mike?"

.I hope everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving and hopefully you did not stuff yourself like a turkey; I know I did. You would think I would know better. Thanksgiving is a wonderful time of the year and we have a lot to be thank-ful for. I hope you had a FUN day with family, friends and possibly your GWRRA family. Did any of you go out shopping on Black Friday? Although I’m not sure when Black Friday is anymore. Times have changed and store start their deals earlier and earlier every year. We are in the middle of “giving season”. We reach out to friends, family and neighbors we haven’t seen in a while. Is there someone from your GWRRA family you have not seen recently? Please take time to give them a phone call, send them a card, invite them to a chapter event. Let them know you miss them. Many chapters have or will be planning there 2020 chapter events, we hope you are planning on attending District events and other Chapter activities. It is a great way to get out and see your extended GWRRA family. Group-Works is a great communication tool to keep everyone informed. The PA District Rally is May 14,15 & 16, 2020. The registration form for the rally can be found on the PA District website, the PA District page on Group-Works in the events section and in the District newsletter. Don’t forget to book your hotel room at the Altoona Grand by calling 814-946-1631 and use code GWRRA to get the room rate of $95 with a hot breakfast. You cannot book your room online. Couple of the Year FUN Day is March 14th in Clearfield, PA at the Trinity United Methodist Church at 121 S Second Street. It is a FUN Day! And it is a great way to meet other Chapter Couples that have been given this very special honor. Officer Conference is April 18th in Clearfield, PA at the Trinity UMC at 121 S Second Street. Chapter officers are encouraged to attend to learn more about their position and other important information.
Has your Chapter sold all of your PA District raffle tickets? Remember they make good Christmas gifts or stocking stuffers. They are an excellent way to say “thank you” to a whole list of people who help you during the year. Keep in mind for evey ticket you sell you are helping your Chapter. Ticket stubs and money need to be returned to Sharon Golanka, District Treasurer by January 15, 2020. Depending on where you live in our wonderful state, you may have already had snow. If you like a white Christmas, hopefully there will be a little snow to make the day festive. Don’t let the snow or cold weather slow you down, get out an participate with your chapter and GWRRA family. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and a Safe and Happy New Year! Remember to always ride safe! Harold and Diane Jackson Your PA District Directors
FROM YOUR PA DISTRICT EDUCATOR
With the cold weather moving in I think that most of us have started to pre-
pare the wings for winter storage.
Something you should consider doing before putting the wing away for
the season is a T-CLOCK inspection.
TIRES: Your tires may need to be replaced. Now would be the time
to start this project rather than waiting for the spring riding season to
start.
CLUTCH: Check the clutch and brake reservoirs. Are they low in
fluid or has the fluid turned a very dark color? If they have you should
change both the clutch and brake fluid now.
LUBRICANTS: How long has it been since you changed your anti-
freeze. Remember your anti-freeze has been working hard to keep your
engine cool and to lubricate your water pump. MAKE SURE you use the
proper anti-freeze when changing, as not all types of anti-freeze will work
in your Wing.
OIL: You may wait until spring to change your oil but I per-
sonally do not think it is a good idea to leave the old oil in the
engine over the winter because it contains acids as well as old oil has a ten-
dency to turn to sludge as it sets and the dirt sinks to the bottom of the en-
gine case.
CABLES & CONTROLS: You should check your throttle and choke cables
for smooth operation. Make sure the throttle returns with a snap and to an
idle when released. The choke, if equipped, also needs to work smoothly
and to return to the open position.
KICKSTAND: Does your kickstand have free movement and a good
spring to pull it up? Look at the switches and check the operation with the
switch on. Check the center stand’s return spring for smooth operation.
In addition to the T-Clock inspection, you should check the battery termi-
nals and make sure they are clean and the water level in the battery is at the
proper level.
If you are not going to run your motorcycle at least once a month during
storage, you should put the battery tender on to keep the level of charge up
to the maximum level.
Last but not least you should clean up the wing, wax it and cover it for the
winter storage season to protect it from dust.
If you take the above precautions, you should be ready to go in the spring
and have an enjoyable riding season having done your preparation during
the winter season while the bike is being stored.
