A 3 DAY TRAINING COURSE ON:
Fundamentals of Generator Protection for Non-Protection Engineers
COURSE SUMMARY
The course is designed for the benefit of engineers with
little to no previous experience in generator protection.
This course would provide a clear insight into the
aspects of philosophy, design and operation of protection
schemes/ systems/ equipment for power generation
plants.
This course covers the basic principles of protection of
synchronous generators during various contingencies.
The participants of this course will be introduced to the
types of faults that can occur in such power systems,
the causes of these faults, the potential problems they
cause, the various devices and schemes available for
detecting these faults and their operating principles as
well as how these devices/schemes operate to protect
the generators during faults.
Where :
Best Western Premier,
Dua Sentral, Brickfields
When :
June 12th – 14th, 2013
9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. daily
Presented by:
Dr. G. Pradeep Kumar
Dr. M. Tamije Selvy
Who Should Attend this Course:This is an ideal course for electrical engineers who have little to no prior knowledge / experience in protection. Young/
New electrical engineers with very little or no work experience will find this course as a very good introduction to the
field of generator system protection. Professionals with considerable experience in areas not directly related to
protection (like operation, maintenance, project management, procurement, etc) will gain valuable knowledge that
would equip them with good cross functional competence.
