ERNEST ERNIE SCHELLER JR.graduated from the College with a bachelors degree in 1952.
He is chairman emeritus of Pennsylvania-based Silberline Manufacturing Inc., a company his
father founded in the 1940s. Silberline is a key global supplier of high-quality pigments
primarily to the automobile industrythat tremendously enhance the visual appeal of coatings,
paints, inks, plastics, and textiles. Scheller credits the College with teaching him the importance
of perseverance and persistence.
He says: I have never been more optimistic about the future of Georgia Tech

Jameson Carr became convinced he needed to take
the Information Technology Practicumwhen he heardanother student say he enjoyed it so much he wanted to take ittwice. It was great taking this course during my final semester,because I could apply everything wed learned in theMBA program to an actual project.
He and his teammates worked on a project for IronPlanet, a leadingonline auction company for used construction and agriculturalequipment such as dozers, trucks, compactors, and cranes.IronPlanet had Carrs team evaluate a new classified business that
could sell equipment at higher rates than it might at auction.
We completed a competitor analysis and developed the entiremarketing strategy, projecting revenues, Carr says. We got greatfeedback on our presentation and were told the company mightpursue our recommendations in the future.

TI:GER teaches you how to work with people from very different backgroundsto create a company, Duncan explains. The entire Georgia Tech MBA programwas incredibly relevant to my goal of starting a technology-based business.It provided a strong foundation in business for my career.
His TI:GER team, Syzygy Memory Plastics, has evolved into a full-fledged company,with Duncan as CEO. The company, which won the Most Fundable Award in the2008 Georgia Tech Business Plan Competition, has won two million in grants and

FINANCEYOUR DEGREEGraduate Assistantships and FellowshipsMore than 50% of Full-time MBA students received funding from the College includinggraduate assistantships and fellowships.
All applicants, resident and non-resident, who apply by the Funding I(October 15) or Funding II (January 15) deadlines are eligible for consideration.
Graduate AssistantshipsGraduate assistants work with a Scheller College faculty member or administrator inexchange for a monthly salary and tuition reduction. Estimated value of an assistantshipmay be as high as $91,000 depending on the type of award and residency status. Awardsare based on academic merit.
Education LoansMBA students who are U.S. citizens and permanent residents may be eligible for
education loans. A variety of privately funded loan programs may be available forinternational students.
The Post-9/11 GI Bill &Yellow Ribbon Program
Qualied U.S. veterans may be eligible to receive nancial support for residenttuition and mandatory fees, and a stipend for books and housing.
