The Children’s Services Board of Galveston County
About Us
Our Board has been active in the community for many years. The Children’s Services Board of Galveston County is dedicated to addressing the issues facing our youth and families in Galveston County. Our goal is to let the community know of the services offered in our area and to find any gaps in needed services for our citizens. We will also continue our efforts to prevent child abuse in our communities by supporting our service providers and reaching out to our communities. We also support and fund the needs of our children in foster care.
Our Mission
To provide community outreach services directed toward improving the care and welfare of the children of Galveston County with special emphasis on Foster Care.

Our Board Members understand the struggles for families and community agencies to find the resources that they may need. We compiled this Directory in an effort to help people in our community find the supports and resources available to them.

Galveston County is an important resource for Texas. Our citizens work hard to help improve the lives of other Texans through our ports, industrial resources, and schools. Our County has a rich history as a popular tourist destination due to our beautiful landscape and ocean views. Galveston County will continue to be a valuable part of Texas.
About Our Families
The citizens of Galveston County are a very diverse mix of cultures and values. Our families and children have many services available to them in time of need. Our County works hard to ensure our citizens are cared for and have their basic needs met. The Children’s Services Board is a part of Galveston County that helps to bring our citizens to the resources needed and supports Galveston County children in foster care. The children and families of Galveston County are very important to us. We will strive to serve our families and better the lives of our children and youth.
