Whatisit?
TheUnitedNationsAssociationofAustralia(UNAA)islookingforanewFundraising&SponsorshipAdvisor.TheselectedvolunteerwillhavetheopportunitytoworkinanexcitingroledirectlyreportingtotheNationalExecutiveDirector,whilegrowingtheir skills and gaining extensive experience with one of Australia's leadinginternationalaffairsNGO’s. Whocanapply?
This role is open to all graduates over the age of 24. It would particularly suitsomeone who has had prior successful experience with fundraising in the NFPsector.
Whatisinvolved?
DuetoongoingreductionsintheforeignaidbudgetbytheAustralianGovernment,asource of the UNAA’s core funding, we are looking to diversify and expand ourfunding aspirations from the corporate andprivate sector sowe can continueourcrucialwork.Inthisnewlycreatedrolethesuccessfulapplicantwillhelptodrivethisobjectiveforward.Therolewill require4-8hoursperweek intheUNAA’soffice inCanberra,ACT,orifpreferredthereisalotofflexibilityforthesuccessfulapplicantto work remotely from their home if based in another State or Territory.Performancewillbejudgedonoutcomesratherthanphysicalpresence.TheUNAAislargelydecentralisedwithemployeesandvolunteersbasedalloverAustralia.
The depth and responsibility of the role will vary depending on the skills andexperiencesofthevolunteerandtheobjectivesoftheUNAA.Applicantsshouldbeself-starters,energetic, innovative,possesshighlevelsofintegrity,abletomaintaindiscretiononsensitivemattersandwillingtoworkonallmanneroffundraisingandsponsorshipsrelatedtasksfromtheinteresting,suchasengaginginimportant
