NOTE:If the top of the bridge is low the telescope eyepiece will not position in the bioptic position at the top of the frame and may be out of position for proper use. The SightScope® Patient Clip System works well on the Ocutech “K” and “Unisex” frames. Ocutech® frames can be ordered separately and the patient can use them as their standard eyeglasses with or without the SightScope® System attached.

STEP 1:Position the top of the clip over the bridge of the frame. The clip contains a rubber spacer which will firmly catch the top of the bridge on metal frames. For plastic frames, simply remove the rubber spacer.

STEP 2:While holding the top of the clip in position (centered over the bridge), spread the metal spring clip downward to catch the lower part of the eyeglass frame, and then repeat for the other side. If the clip is too loose, you can bend the spring wire upward to tighten its hold before attaching it to the bottom of the frame.

FLIP-UP BINOCULAR TELESCOPE SYSTEM

SightScope® FLIPPatient Clip-On System

Ocutech’s SightScope® FLIP is available in a clip-on version that

can be mounted on appropriate patient frames in lieu of ordering

a complete frame and telescope system. The mounting system

allows for the full range of positioning control that is available

with the standard permanent eyeglass frame-mounted system.

The SightScope® Patient Clip System can be used with both metal

and plastic frames that have a high top bridge position and are

deep enough in the vertical dimension (B dimension) to allow the

spring clip to hold the device firmly in place.
