Inline Flow BodyDual Screen Strainers
In Line Flow Hand Operated Strainer
Available in 1-1/2” through 12” models.
Type DH Hellan Strainers employ two handwheel equipped rotating screens and rigid scraper bars to remove solids from the surface of the screen when the handwheels are rotated. A solids collecting sump is also provided. Cleaning of the type DH is accomplished by opening a valve on the sump flush connection and rotating the handwheels several times. The cleaning cycle must be performed when the strainer is under positive pressure. Type DH strainers can be installed in the vertical up-flow position or in the horizontal flow position with both screens in the horizontal plane, and sump flush connection preferably located at the bottom.
Operating features that provide real benefits • Eliminate downtime for solids removal
• The Hellan Strainer allows users to eliminate solids and debris from fluids without stopping
the flow of the fluid. Processes requiring the fluid continue uninterrupted.
• Employees are not exposed to possible contaminates
• Debris that may include contaminates and hazardous materials is removed from the fluid flow
without disassembly of the strainer. Maintenance personnel and other employees do not come in contact
with this debris.
• Minimum labor requirements for solids removal
• The Hellan Strainer reduces the time required to remove solids from the fluid flow. Manually operated models require only a periodic turning of the handwheel to remove solids. Labor and cleaning time is usually less than
30 seconds. Labor requirements can be completely eliminated
The Hellan Strainer design provides solids removal without interrupting fluid flow. Instead of trapping solids in a basket which then must be removed for frequent clean outs, the Hellan Strainer removes the solids from fluid without stopping the flow or disassembling the strainer.

Hellan Strainer Differential Pressure Alarm System

» Sends signal to display panel to alert ships force
» Extends the life of Hellan strainers
» Optional Alarm Module Mounted on Left Side
There are many manually cleaned strainers in the fleet that depend upon visual inspection of the DP gauge to initiate a cleaning cycle. The new DP Alarm System sends a signal to the display panel to alert ships force of the necessity to flush and clean the strainer.
This alarm system will extend the life of Hellan strainers because frequent cleaning eliminates catastrophic clogging which protects critical machinery downstream of the strainer.

HELLAN STRAINER REPAIR MODULE
The repair module is comprised of all rotating and wetted parts in the strainer. The module is supplied complete from the hand wheel down to the screen assembly. After the strainer is secured through inlet and outlet valve operation, the screen cover plate is loosened and the entire assembly (pictured below) is pulled from the strainer body. A new or rebuilt mod-ule is inserted into the strainer body and the cover plate cap screws are retightened.
The repair modules are provided with a scraper bar and O’Ring kits
A repair module for each strainer with applicable screen size has been assigned a National Stock Number (NSN). Therefore, the repair modules will be available through DLA if a ship decides to replace the module with ships force.
Cross section of the repair moduleHellan Strainer Repair Modules come with everything you need to overhaul your strainer. Module comes with Strainer basket components and scraper bar.

Bilge, Sludge, &Waste Oil TransferPumps• The same pump for water and oils!• Handle sludge of low or very high viscosity!• Will not be harmed if left running on empty sludge
tank!• No problematic foot valve required• High suction lifts ensure bilge pumps can be positioned
in the most convenient positions!• Low shear effect prevent oils from emulsifying!• Removes the last drop from tanks and containers
An example of their superiority for this class of work is their adoption by the U.S. Navy as a standard pump on all warships and auxiliary vessels for transporting waste oils from slop tanks to shore treatment facilities. The Megator Sliding Shoe Positive-Displacement Pump, constructed to its normal marine standards, is equal in quality to the stringent requirements of military specifications.
H300 - 875 r.p.m. pump speed - capacity: 90 US gpm
H300 sludge pump - 90 gpm at 110 psi, with 20 ft suction lift
Compact -L125 bilge pump 13 gpm at 45 psi, with 27 ft suction lift

Positive Displacement Sliding Shoe PumpsThe Megator self priming positive displacement sliding-shoe pump provides exceptional suction performance, ver-satility, and the ability to pump at constant capacity against heads to 250 ft (75m). It can run without harm during dry suction, is self compensating for wear, has a simple design with few working parts and single cover access. It might be said to resemble a reciprocating piston pump, and it has in-deed all the well known merits of that type - powerful suc-tion and self priming, constant capacity at varying heads, the ability to cope with rough conditions and to handle a great variety of liquids, viscous or free flowing, clean or dirty. Yet in its simplicity, compactness and even flow it more closely resembles the centrifugal pump. It therefore combines the advantageous features of both these two main pump types without their respective limitations.
• Self priming.• Operates with dry suction.• Simple to install.• The same pump for water and oils.• Constant capacity at varying heads.• Remove the last drop from containers.
Benefits• Capacities up to 264 US gpm (60 m3/hr).• Suction lifts up to 27 ft (8.2 m).• Viscosities up to 5000 cSt.• Heads up to 250 ft (75 m).• Available in bronze, cast iron & aluminum casings.• Air, diesel, electric, hydraulic or gasoline driven.• Variable speed inverter control.• Direct coupled or belt drive options.• Available assemblies include stationary, skid-
mounted & mobile options.
Features• Single cover access.• Simple to operate.• Self compensating for wear.• Minimal shear/emulsification.• High suction lift.

Pumps 2000 Pneumatic Diaphragm Pumps, developed originally for the underground mining industry have been used in the coal and hard rock mining industry of Australia since 1989.
Using engineered plastics to operate lubrication free they are light weight and manual handling friendly. Pumps 2000 prove reliable in the harshest of conditions. The product ranges include applications for underground use, slurry or clean fluid transfer, a range of chemicals, continuous or occasional explosive atmospheres, fixed or portable installations, marine environments, construction and the food industry.
Manufacturing processes are in accordance with the International Organization for Standardization ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems and EN 13980 Potentially Explosive Atmospheres: application of quality systems.
LARGE PARTICLE HANDLINGPumps 2000’s unique slurry pumps allow you to pass varying sizes and types of particles through the pump without any issue. As long as there is enough liquid carrying the solids the Pumps 2000 slurry pumps will get the job done.
LIGHT WEIGHTThe light weight feature allows quick and easy relocation of a pump whenever needed and maintenance is also easier with pumps that are lighter to handle.
LUBRICATION FREESave on your oil costs, time and labor expense used to maintain lubricators, save on spare parts and also protect your environment from oil pollution by using Pumps 2000.
EFFICIENT AIR USAGEWith a lower air consumption to output you will find that Pumps 2000 air operated double diaphragm pumps will do a better job using less air. This can lead to savings on your compressor and leave you with more air that can be utilized elsewhere within your operation.
LONG LIFE OPERATIONPumps 2000 utilizes the toughest in engineering grade plastics to give you a longer working life in the harshest of pumping conditions. Along with the employment of the best in materials there are a number of patented design components to give you trouble free long life operation.

Cold Weather. Clear Biodiesel. The Clear Solution.
The new ASTM D6751 Cold Soak Filtration test is leaving many biodiesel producers and consumers “out in the cold”. In response, Schroeder Biofuels is proud to present ColdClearTM, a new proprietary, patent pending, multi-stage separation technology designed specifically to ensure that biodiesel products conform to this ASTM standard for cold flow properties. The ColdClearTM system consists of a three-stage bank of housings using a combination of filtration and adsorption principles to capture compounds that could cause plugging or crystallization in biodiesel fluids. Notably, ColdClearTM is the premiere multi-stage treatment system for solving the cold soak filtration dilemma in B100 biodiesel and biodiesel blends in a single pass while resulting in a negligible yield loss.
Hydraulic Test BenchThe Schroeder Model HTB hydraulic test bench is the ultimate diagnostic tool, capable of thoroughly testing a vast array of new or rebuilt components and subassemblies prior to their installation in a working system. Test bench instrumentation has been designed to make diagnosis fast and accurate, with virtually no requirement for connecting external instruments.
Test Gauge KitsAvailable with one, two or three gauges, Schroeder Test Gauge Kits offer accurate, precise and efficient pressure control and monitoring for your hydraulic system, while eliminating the risk of introducing newfound contamination. The kits include test points, gauges and adapters ideal for venting and draining hydraulic systems and are well suited for oil sampling and pressure measurement.
Filter Elements High-efficiency elements for lubrication and fluid power systems. Schroeder’s exceptional elements are tested to ensure fabrication integrity in the manufacturing process. Schroeder’s complete line of quality filtration elements are manufactured with Excel-ZPlus®. These handline nozzles are specifically designed and manufactured for the unique firefighting challenges of a marine environment. They utilize military spec, corrosion-resistant cast brass construction and are ideal for the application of AFFF. The constant flow technology, combined with their durable construction, make them optimal for use in the shipping industry, in refineries, and for off-shore drilling or production rigs - as well as within chemical complexes.
Ansulite 3% AFFFANSULITE 3% (AFC-3A) AFFF (Aqueous Film-Forming Foam) Concentrate is formu-lated from specialty fluorochemical and hydrocarbon type surfactants along with solvents. It is transported and stored as a concentrate to provide ease of use and considerable savings in weight and volume.
It is intended for use as a 3% proportioned solution in fresh, salt or hard water. It may also be used and stored as a 3% premixed solution in fresh or potable water only. The correct proportioning or mixture ratio is 3 parts concentrate to 97 parts water.
Three fire suppressing mechanisms are in effect when using ANSULITE 3% (AFC-3A) AFFF Concentrate. First, an aqueous film is formed which works to help prevent the release of fuel vapor. Second, the foam blanket from which the film-forming liquiddrains effectively excludes oxygen from the fuel surface. Third, the water content of the foam provides a cooling effect.

Zistos has revolutionized remote industrial video inspection with the ExplorerSCOPE™. The 9mm diameter videoscope allows inspectors to make visual assessments inside tanks, large vessels, vaults, voids, and confined spaces through openings as small as 10mm in diameter. The submersible, semi-rigid, flex-and-stay guide tube can maintain a horizontal position or span a gap when inserted into a void space. Designed for portability, the ExplorerSCOPE is battery powered and combines a powerful internal laser light source with electronically-enhanced low-light video processing hardware. It can generate images of objects up to 40 feet away – in pitch darkness!
