mosaic of European culture. Begin in London with two
overnights and free time to discover the UK’s capital. Cross the
English Channel by ferry and board your motorcoach to
Amsterdam, where guided sightseeing and a canal cruise await.
In Germany, travel along the castle-dotted Rhine River and join
the Romantic Road as it passes by medieval towns with
fairytale-looking, half-timbered houses. Overnight in Munich and
continue south through the majestic Dolomites on your way to
Venice. A boat ride along one of the main canals takes you to
St. Mark’s Square, with time to admire the famous Venetian
landmarks. On to Florence, “Cradle of the Renaissance,” for a
guided walking tour that features Palazzo Vecchio, sculpture-
filled Signoria Square, the Duomo, and more. Heading north,
cross the Lombardy plain into Switzerland’s Canton Ticino for a
stop in lovely subtropical Lugano before climbing toward St.

Return to London via the Channel ferry for a final overnight in

Day 1 Arrive in London, England
Check into your hotel. Uniformed hosts are available to help you make the most of your stay.
Day 2 London
A full day to savor our rich program of optional activities: take a panoramic tour of London’s
landmarks, visit the Tower of London, or choose an excursion to Windsor Castle. Tonight, maybe
a leisurely cruise on the Thames River? (B)
Day 3 London–Amsterdam Area, Holland
Leave London in the early morning and head through the lush English countryside to the Channel
port, where you board your FERRY for the Continent. Here, you meet your Tour Director and join
your luxury coach for the drive to the Amsterdam area. (B)
Day 4 Amsterdam Area–Rhineland, Germany
Today, enjoy sightseeing in Amsterdam, with a Local Guide pointing out the city highlights. Later,
a CANAL CRUISE to see the town from water level, then watch the cutting and polishing of
precious stones at a DIAMOND CENTER. In the afternoon, travel southwards to reach the

Rhineland for an overnight. (B,D)
Day 5 Rhineland–Romantic Road–Rothenburg–Munich
Start the day with a scenic drive along the shores of the Rhine or opt for a Rhine cruise. Admire
the pretty villages, the castles perched high above the river, and the numerous terraced
vineyards. Next, a drive along the Romantic Road, through towns and villages protected by
medieval towered gates and battlements, with squares of half-timbered houses and richly
decorated fountains. A fine example of this architecture is the center of Rothenburg, where you
stop awhile. Overnight in Munich. (B,D)
Day 6 Munich–Innsbruck, Austria–Venice Area, Italy
Travel from Munich to Austria for a stop in the capital of the Tyrol, Innsbruck. In the afternoon,
drive over Brenner Pass into the Dolomites to admire this unique natural wonder before the
descent into the Piave Valley to the Venice area. (B,D)
Day 7 Venice–Montecatini
The included orientation tour starts with a BOAT RIDE and is followed by a chance to watch
Venetian GLASSBLOWERS fashion their delicate objects as they did centuries ago. Then,
southwards into the hilly Tuscan countryside to reach Montecatini for two overnights. (B)
Day 8 Montecatini. Excursion to Florence
Florence, a Renaissance gem and city of the Medicis, will keep you enthralled all day. Traffic is
banned in part of the historic center, so visitors can wander at leisure and admire the city’s
timeless beauty in relative peace and quiet. Don’t miss out on the included WALKING TOUR with
a Local Guide that features most of the city highlights. You will see Piazza Santa Croce; beautiful
Piazza Signoria; Palazzo Vecchio; Loggia dei Lanzi; and, to top it all, Piazza del Duomo and its
cathedral with the Giotto Campanile, and the magnificent East Door of the Baptistry, known as
the “Gate of Paradise.” Later, join the optional excursion to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa. (B,D)
Day 9 Montecatini–Lugano, Switzerland–Lucerne Area
Across the Lombardy plains this morning to Canton Ticino’s subtropical resort of Lugano. Here
you take a break to stroll along the lakeside promenade before your motorcoach climbs towards
the St. Gotthard Tunnel. Emerge on the Germanspeaking side of Switzerland, then descend into
the gentle landscape around the Lucerne area. (B)
Day 10 Lucerne Area–Paris, France
This morning, visit the LION MONUMENT and CHAPEL BRIDGE before joining an optional boat
trip. Then, vistas of green pastures and attractive chalets with rustic timbering and luxuriant
flowers. Enter France via the comfortable highway, past some of its most famous vineyards, to
Paris. Arrive in time to enjoy an optional cabaret show. (B)
Day 11 Paris
Included sightseeing with a local expert shows off many of the best-known Parisian sights: La
Sorbonne, Arc de Triomphe, Opéra, Madeleine, the Eiffel Tower, the Pyramid near the Louvre,
the Invalides, and Champs Elysées. Optional excursions are also available to visit some of the
highlights and, to celebrate the success of your tour, a French farewell dinner might be just the
ticket. (B)
Day 12 Paris–London, England
Relax and let the countryside whiz by on the road north to the coast, where you board your
Channel FERRY. Through Kent, return to London for an evening arrival. (B)

Lorelei And Its Castles The Rhine is one of the longest and most
important rivers in Europe, running for over 1,232 kms. and flowing
through 6 countries. The Rhine cruise we offer lasts approx. 1 and a half
hours and is in the Rhine gourge - a steep sided valley filled with
vineyards and castles overlooking the river. Pass the legendary Loreley
Rock, which soars some 120 metres above the waterline, and is also the
name of a feminine water spirit. One drink per person is included during
the cruise.

CITY: VeniceBy Night And Caffe Florian On this evening excursion in Venice you will be accompanied by the
tour director and first will be taken aboard your private motorboat to glide along the impressive
Giudecca Canal passing by Giudecca Island. See a variety of important palaces all built by the
Venetian gentry between the 12th and 13th centuries. Upon disembarkation you will continue with
a stroll through some of the romantic streets of Venice finishing up in St. Mark's Square. Here
you can sit back and enjoy the particular atmosphere of the Square at the famous and historical
"Caffe Florian" where you will be served two items of your choice - cappuccino or coffee or soft
drink or glass of wine or ice cream or tea or Venetian cookies. A five piece band will entertain

Gondola Serenade One of the highlights of a trip to Europe and

small canals to see Venice from the water. During the gondola ride a

CITY: FlorenceExcursion To Pisa The celebrated Leaning Tower of Pisa is no doubt
well-known all over Europe and there is no better way to actually get
close up to it than on this half day excursion to Pisa when you are
staying in the Florence area. The medieval walls of Pisa and the
riversides are landmarks that make it easy to take bearings in the
extraordinary variety of Pisa's artistic, architectural, historical and
cultural heritage. After departing from the hotel you will travel through the
fertile and picturesque Tuscan countryside with the tour director giving

- can be seen. The visit of Pisa then proceeds to the "Square of Miracles" which is partly paved
and partly grassed and is dominated by four great religious edifices - The "Duomo", the
"Campanile", the "Baptistry" and the "Camposanto". In 1987 the whole square was declared a
UNESCO World Heritage site. You will have plenty of time on your own to wander around and

Uffizi Gallery Don't miss the chance to visit what is believed to be the
earliest museum in Europe. With a local guide you will be taken around
the Uffizi Gallery, which is one of the most important art galleries in Italy
displaying paintings from every age. The Uffizi Palace was built by
Giorgio Vasari at the wishes of Duke Cosimo 1 de Medici as offices of
the Medici government. It houses the most significant classical
sculptures from the Medici collections and a big selection of Italian and
European paintings from 13th to 18th centuries. Admire some classical
works of art such as Botticelli's "Birth of Venus", Leonardo's "The
Annunciation" and Michelangelo's "Tondo Doni". At the end of the visit with the local guide you will
be free to remain in the museum on your own to look around further. Note that the Uffizi Gallery is

Booking your Vacation with Air
For air departure dates within 331 days, you'll be offered a choice of carriers and flight
schedules as well as price points to choose from when selecting your flights. Your schedule will
be provided to you at the time of booking (schedules are subject to change by carriers). Globus
offers 2 air options: Flex Air and Instant Purchase Air. Flex Air allows flexibility if you want to
make changes to your vacation schedule. Instant Purchase Air may offer additional airline
options but has more restrictions. Some vacations may only offer one Air type option.
Guaranteed air-inclusive prices: air is only available to passengers traveling from the United
States and only available when booked in conjunction with a land vacation. An additional $300
per person non-refundable air deposit is required for Flex Air booked in conjunction with any land
vacation (i.e. air-inclusive vacation). Air can only be booked by Globus in conjunction with a
vacation package. Instant Purchase Air requires air payment in full at time of booking (i.e.
air-inclusive vacation) plus non-refundable service fee ($30 per person for North America, $50
per person for International air). Once booked, Instant Purchase Air is non-refundable, and
non-changeable. Some vacations may only offer one Air type option. However, once your airfare
is confirmed and Globus has received your full air and land deposit, your air-inclusive vacation
