  • Element 3 – Main Street

1 Reduce the width of the road carriage and improve surface treatments for the length of the Main street for improved traffic management and a safer pedestrian environment with provision for a central median, cycle lanes and parallel parking either side of the road. A typical spacing of 20m between street trees within the parallel parking bays can accommodate 3 parallel parking bays whereas within a 10m spacing between trees, one car can be accommodated. Trees within the central median have been accommodated for but will be planted upon the implementation of the Waroona Bypass.
