Cal State LA offers the only B.S. degree program in fire protection in California. The program helps in-service fire professionals get promoted to higher positions and gives aspiring fire professionals a leg up on their competition. Our faculty includes three full-time faculty with expertise in fire service leadership, fire protection engineering, and public safety education. Our adjunct faculty include retired fire chiefs and directors of paramedic programs and wildland fire academies.
The Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Protection Administration and Technology provides both technical and administrative skills to meet the needs of various fire services.
The curriculum is developed through close consultation with representatives of all levels of the fire services from local groups to State and National committees and boards.
