SUBJECT : Professional Development Course for Spanish Teachers

The Department of Education (DepEd), through the Bureau of Curriculum Development (BCD) - Special Curricular Programs Division (SCPD), in coordination with the University of the Philippines, through Asociacion Filipina de Ensenanza de la Lengua Enseñanza Española, shall conduct the Spanish Language Course Beginners Second Batch of A1 Online through AFELE (Asociación Filipina de Enseñanza de Español como Lengua Extranjera) on October 1-30, 2021 via Zoom platform.
This workshop aims to:
a. Capacitate SPFL-Spanish Teachers for A1 Course; and b. Prepare new Spanish teachers for follow through training for A2 Course.
The program of activities and list of official participants for this workshop are provided in Annex A & B for reference.
All expenses relative to the conduct of the workshop, shall be charged against 2021 BCD BEC funds, subject to the usual government accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

The Bureau of Secondary Education (BSE), now known as the Bureau of Curriculum Development (BCD) conceptualized the Special Program in Foreign Language (SPFL) since 2009. SPFL designed to provide learners multiple channels of access to secondary education. these special program cater to the needs and potentials of 21st century learners with the view of preparing them for special curricular programs within the framework of the K to 12 Basic Education Program.
Program Description The program offers a variety of opportunities for students to learn not only the basics of foreign languages, but also to heighten global awareness by enhancing social and cross-cultural awareness/skills.
