14.06.2018:- School reopened after summer vacation.
21.06.2018:- DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, KRISHNA VIHAR celebrated the third International Yoga Day by
organizing a special yoga session in which students along with teachers performed various ‘asanas’.
The main aim of the session was to raise awareness and ignite a passion for fitness and yoga among
the students and to enhance their mental and physical well being.

29.06.2018:- A class- wise competition was held for classes U.K.G – II on the topic “Poem Recitation –
Hindi”. The tiny scholars expressed themselves confidently. Variety of interesting rhymes with good
introduction of themselves had flown in a melody from the young participants.
30.06.2018:- A House – Wise competition was held for classes III – X.
For classes III – IV -> Book Reading ‘English’ For classes V – VII -> Speech on “Me and My Family” For class VIII – X -> Act on the spot- This activity was a novice experience as the titles of the act were selected on the spot. The students
crafted a story line intelligently and appropriately. The event was competitive in nature, the
thunderous applause that each team received by the gathering was testimony to the fact that each
team was a winner as all the acts had conveyed a powerful message.
07.07.2018:- A House wise competition was held for classes III – X .
For classes III – IV -> Poem Recitation (Hindi)
For classes V – VII -> Origami.
Children participated in this creative venture with great zeal and high spirit.
The activity triggered their imagination and enhanced their creative skills.
For classes VIII – X -> Best out of Waste
The participants showcased their talents by using the waste materials and
transforming the items into new things.
This competition was organized for students to learn and understand that
resources should be used carefully and they should follow the motto of
Reduce, Reuse & Recycle.
13.07.2018:- A class wise competition for classes UKG to II was held where
children identified and names various objects.
27.07.2018:- A class wise competition for classes UKG to II was held to explore the
creative potentials in the minds of our small children. The drawings were done
beautifully and diligently by the children. This fun filled activity witnessed an
enthusiastic participations by the students.
13.08.2018:- DAV Public School, Krishna Vihar inaugurated its new building on August 13,
2018 with great enthusiasm. Projector Director, Mr. Bhola Singh congratulated everyone
for this remarkable achievement.
15.08.2018:- The 72nd Independence Day was celebrated
with great pomp and show. Project Director, Sasan Power
Ltd. Mr. Bhola Singh hoisted the National Flag. Mr. and Mrs.
Russell Conley were the Guests of Honor for the Day.
The students presented colourful performances like songs, dances etc. The dignitaries
blessed the children by their precious words.
24.08.2018:- Hindi Story Telling (LKG – II )
Stories give wings to our imagination and take us to places beyond the boundaries of our
physical world.
Story telling has been an integral part of our childhood.
To incite curiosity and love for reading a class wise story
telling competition was held. Children narrated various
stories with effective use of facial expressions, gestures and
voice modulation.

29.08.2018:- National Sports Day- The Birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, the
Hockey wizard was celebrated to pay tribute to the maestro.
A friendly Hockey watch was played between the senior girls. A speech was delivered by
one of the students to throw light on the life and achievements of Major Dhyan Chand.
01/09/18: The Hawan Ceremony was organized in the school to seek grace and
blessings of God. It was performed religiously under the divine fervor and
spirituality.
05/09/18: The students of class IX celebrated Teachers’ Day to commemorate the
birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvpalli Radhakrishnan. The day was filled with lots of
excitement, joy and happiness.
There were songs, dance, speech and various games for the teachers. On the
whole, it was a superb effort by the children to honour their teachers and show
their love for them.
06/09/18: SBI CEO and other members came to visit our school and were
welcomed by our Principal Mrs. Sanjana Ghosh.
19/09/18: MINISTRY OF Power and Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Government of
India, organized XIV Painting Competition on Energy Conservation for school
students.
Students of our school participated in the competition. The best two paintings
were sent to the Nodal Officer of the state.
15/09/18 to 03/10/18: Half Yearly Exam
02.10.18: On this day the teachers and students along with some members of Reliance promoted the Swachh
Bharat Mission. There was a rally around the locality to aware the people regarding Cleanliness. The students
performed songs, dance, skit on the topic health and hygiene to promote the same.
08.10.18: Training of First Aid Fire Fighting Anuj Singh, Fire Manager Reliance Coal Mines. How to use Fire
Extinguisher.
12.10.18: Specially Assembly on the topic - DUSSEHRA and Tree Plantation Campaign.
A special assembly was conducted by the students on the topic Dussehra. The students presented songs,
dance and skit. The theme of the assembly described victory of good over evil.
13.10.18: To make the school premises green a plantation Campaign was initiated by Respected Principal
Mam . She motivated the children to bring saplings from home. The students participated in the campaign
whole heartedly.
27.10.18: Board Decoration on the topic - DUSSEHRA and DIWALI
A house wise display board competition was held on Oct 27, 2018. Students explored their creativity by
displaying various items related to the topic.

Children’s Day Celebration(2018)
Teachers’ Assembly :- The teachers with theirs full spirit conducted the morning assembly.
They presented moral thought, updated the chidren with newsheadlines, chanted vadic
mantras and sang a beautiful prayer for the children.
Fancy Dress and Skit by Children:- There was a fancy dress and a skit presentation by the
children. Children were so excited to show them in beautiful costumes, they were dressed
wonderfully. One of the students performed the role of Laxman and diliver the diologue as
well. Everone was pleased to see the children happy .
Teachers’ Presentation:- Despite the regional diversities where people follow differents
languages, culture, customs and traditions. Our country is full of diversion but there is an
underlying unity as well. The teachers with their different dresses and costumes presented the
same and who held 1st

and the third position were awarded by the chief guest.
Orgnisation of different games:- Different games like: musical chair, rope pulling, spon race,
duck jump were orgnised by the teachers and the students. The guests from C.S.R and hospital
participated in tug of war. Honourable chief guest (Sri Bhola Singh) also participated in tug of
war, he showed a brilliant valour and helped his team to get victoy over the teachers.
Everyone gave his/her best to entertain the children.
Blessings by the chief guest:- The guest of the day, Shri Bhola Singh Sir and Fuzail Sir wished
the children and blessed them.They motivated the children with their inspiring speech
6th DAV National Sports (Zonal Level)
November 2018:
A three days Zonal Sport was organized in DAV Pubic School, Dudhichua, more than
thousand students participated from different DAV schools. The enthusiastic students of
DAV Krishna Vihar also participated in different games like Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Cricket, Chess
etc. They not only participated but also succeeded to secure Bronze, Silver and Gold medals.
Students felicitated in the Morning Assembly:
All the participants and winners were felicitated in the assembly. It took more than hour to
give away the medals & trophies. Two students of our school performed so wonderfully that
they were selected for National Level Games.
Principal Blessings:
Our Principal Mam blessed the children and said that she was amazed at students
performance, ‘specially in Chess’. She congratulated all the winners and participants. She
motivated other students to participate in different games as it is very necessary for all around
of their physical and mental development. At last she thanked the teachers to help and being
with participants at every step.
Children shared their views:
As per the instruction given by the Principal Mam, some students shared their experiences.
(actually mam wanted every student to be motivated so that there can be more participation).
Children while sharing their experience said that on many a time they had loosed their
confidence but as soon as they saw the face of Principal mam& the Teachers, again there was
a hope and confidence. The children thanked the teachers, who supported them every

Energy Conservation Day - World Energy Conservation Day is celebrated
on 14th Dec globally to highlight the importance of energy consumption
and its use in our day-to-day life, its scarcity and its impact on sustainability of global eco systems.
The day was also celebrated in our school to aware the students regarding the proper use of energy and ways to conserve it.
A theme based assembly conducted. Apart from the vadic mantras, prayer, pledge, news reading, a special
group songs on the topic, “International Energy Conservation ” was presented by students. Not only that
but a skit was also performed on the same topic. At last the programme ended with Principal’s advice. Following the headings to give a detailed information about the programme.
Children presented a skit on Energy Conservation:
The students of class 10th realized us the importance of conserving natural resources. The students of our
school, with the help of short skit forced us to think that how the resources like: Water, Coal, Electricity &
Natural Gases are consumed frequently. And even some time we are misusing the resources, because of that
they are being costlier and a day will come when our coming generation won’t be able to get the benefits of these resources.
Painting Competition organised on Energy Conservation:
Some of the students of our school made some beautiful paintings
to aware the people about the conservation of energy. These
painting gave us a way to understand the value of natural
resources.
Principal advice:
The Principal of our school explained the important of resources.
She said that conservation doesn’t mean that we have to stop using
the resources, but it means the resources should be utilised in
proper manner.
She further pleaded that we should inculcate some good habits like switching of the fans, light etc. Ma’am
realised the children that all the resources are very valuable and they are a precious gift, so we should them carefully.
19/12/18: Dignitaries’ visit
Mr. Stephen Parson from US EXIM and Mr. Tufail Khan from ERM has visited our school. The principal welcomed the
dignitary by offering bouquet which was followed by the welcome song. He motivated the staff to work whole
heartedly to bring the children from darkness to light.
20/12/18 - 21/12/18: Annual Sports Meet
The third annual sports meet of our school was held from 20th of December to 22nd December in our school
ground. The day’s atmosphere took a festive look. A great interest was observed among the students,
teachers and guardians. A large number of people came to enjoy the day. Honorable Bhola Singh Sir was the
chief guest. He arrived at 9:30 a.m. other dignitaries also arrived at the same time. The programme began
with the welcome ceremony of the chief guest by our respected Principal Ma’am. After that a melodious
welcome song was rendered by the school choir the Sports. There were several sports event such as long jump, 100, 200, 400, 800, and 1500 meter race, kabaddi, kho-kho, cricket, tug of war etc.
Inauguration of the day: The Sports Day was inaugurated by releasing balloons and beautifully decorated
placard bearing the school’s name and motto by the chief guests in presence of other dignitaires like: Vikas
Chandel and Fuzail Ahmed and Principal Ma’am. After that lamp lighting ceremony and flag hoisting followed by D.A.V anthem took place.
March past and torch lighting: A highly competitive event where the four Houses: Shradhanand, Virjanand,
Hansraj and Daynand eyed for the first place. A synchronized march past captivated the guests. Then after
lighting of the Torch was performed by Master Abhishek,(House caption, school caption) an excellent
athelete followed by Miss Ranjana( Girls’ House caption) Master Dhruv(played National) and Miss Reshmi (played National).
Opening of the event: The sports meet was declared open formally by our honorable chief guest. It was
simple but heartfelt dedication to the desire for peace. Apart from that an oath was administered to the
students by Miss Ranjana. It pleaded to participate in the sports day with true sportsman spirit. At last a fabulous dance laid the ground for other lovely performance.
Welcome speech by the Principal Ma’am: The Principal of the school cheerfully welcomed the chief guest,
other dignitaries, parents and guardians. Highlighted the importance of the day, she said that sports
prepare a child to become a liberal individual, who understands the nature of teamwork and apply the
sporting spirit in all aspect of life. She further said that sporting activities play a very important role in
holistic development of students and inculcate value like optimism, belief in oneself and over all ability to
face all the challenges and thus ensure 100% participation. At last she thanked the chief guest and other dignitaries from C.S.R for their presence.
Chief guest Blessings: Honorable Chief Guest Sri Bhola Singh Sir blessed the children for their true sporting
spirit. In the beginning of his speech he said that the school is getting new heights and the changes are
notable and visible. He thanked the school to invite him as a chief guest. And at last he congratulated all the participants, who played National and also motivated the students to participate in sports.
Speech by the other dignitaries: The dignitaries from C.S.R were thankful for inviting them. They all said that
we are fortunate to be a part of the event and blessed the children. They were also thankful for their warm
welcome.
2nd
Day
On the second day of the meet many other dignitaries Shree Lalmohan Dora, Mr. K.K Mukhopadhyay, Vinay
Kumar ,Anil Singh Baghel, Rizwan Ahmed shidhhaqui, Gyan Bahadur has visited from C.S.R and The medical
team doctor Saha, Suresh Singh Pushpraj and other member of the hospital visited. They witnessed the great
day and enjoyed a lot.
End of the Day: At the end of the day the guest departed with a pleasant and unforgettable memories with
them. After that they encouraged the participants and winners with medals and certificates. They thanked
Ma’am for invitation and the honor to facilitate the children with medals and certificate.
3rd
Day
Closing ceremony was held on 22nd December. The day started filled with fervor and excitement experienced
amidst thrills, shrills and cheers. The chief guest for the day was Mr. A.K Singh Sir (C.E.O SASAN POWER) and
Mr. Bhola Singh was the guest of honor. Apart from them other dignitaries from C.S.R and Principals of
different D.A.V schools beautified the stage. The day started with lovely rendition by the choir group to pay salutation to Maan Sarswati. Everyone witnessed the great cultural events organized by the school.
Welcome speech by the Principal: Principal Ma’am welcomed the chief guest, guest of honor, other
dignitaries and Principal from different D.A.V schools. After that she again threw light on the importance of
sports. She said, in order to play any games or sports, together with physical ability, it is also important to
create mental facilities of the player. A child learns to sharpen his/her problem solving abilities, taking
instant decision and handle pressure situations. She further said that sporting spirit teaches to be fair and
ethical in ones conduct, strives to have a winning attitude and even while being in the losing team, should be
graceful in ones behavior. Such an attitude is also essential in equipping a person with life skills. At the end
of her speech she again welcomed everyone and thanked them to visit. She also thanked to all teaching staffs, non teaching staffs, fourth grade members and all the students for their cooperation.
Ending speech by the chief guest: In his concluding speech, the chief guest praised the endeavour of the
school and The Principal. He highlighted the necessity of sportsmanship. He praised highly for the
tremendous work of the Principal and his team. He said that he was blessed to get chance to see the splendor performance of the students, and he was thankful to be invited as a chief guest for the day.
Speech by guest of honor: Bhola Singh Sir congratulated the winners and all participants. He said whether
you have won medal or not, you all are the winners. In a long run your active and continued participation in
sports and athletic would pay you rich dividends in terms of fitness well – being, and happiness. He further
added, winning or losing in sports or athelet is happiness originating from the participation in sports or
athlete is highly cherished trophy. At last he thanked to the Principal Ma’am. He also thanked for inviting
him as the guest of honor.
24/12/18 : Christmas Day Celebration in D.A.V Krishna Vihar
Special Assembly: A theme based assembly was conducted by the students. Students presented some melodious songs, different dances, solo songs, solo dances and a skit. Children
were dressed so beautifully, that they captivated everyone.
Blessings by the guests: Some guests from Vindhya Nagar
Ashram arrived on this auspicious day. They explained the
advantages of meditation and its impact on our daily life. They said that our life has become full of stress so, meditation is the
only way to reduce our tension and stress.
Board Decoration: A display board competition was held on the
topic, ‘Christmas Day and new year’. Students displayed various items and articles on the board to enrich the given topic.
Principal Blessings: Our respected Principal ma’am focused on the importance of the day. She wished everyone a merry
Christmas and gave wishes on New Year. After that she lay
stressed on students’ studies, as the students of class 8 & 10 are going to take their board exams. And at last she advised the children to be careful in the cold season. She ended her
speech with many wishes, happiness and prosperity for everyone.
