C O P P E R - P L A T E D P L A S T I C B A L L S Plastic Methods Co. Inc., New York

Plastic Methods' CMC Copper-Plated Plastic Balls replace heavy plating or burnishing media and make barrel plating of small or delicate parts possible. Highly conductive and light in weight, CMC balls cushion the product to prevent dam- age, restrict interlocking, and help to keep flat parts from sticking together. Features include precision round, sizes from 1.1 to 18 mm diame- ters, and easy sifting. The balls are ideal for barrel plating semiconductor and precision parts, in- crease electrical contact to fine articles for even metal distribution, are reusable, and can be re- fined for precious metals.

B A R R E L B L O W - D O W N S Y S T E M PAL Sales Inc., Bethlehem, Conn.

PAL Sales Inc.'s barrel blow-down system oper- ates when the barrel is lifted out of the process solution. At the top of the lift movement, air from transporter-mounted low-pressure thns enters through the upper opening of the barrel and is directed through the workload to the lower open- ing. This air stream increases the solution drain- ing from the barrel, resulting in a significant re- duction of in-process chemicals, water, and effluent chemical requirements.

Newact's Sure-Seal Plating Danglers incorporate a pink Hypalon rubber sleeve vulcanized directly to the cable, which eliminates fluid build-up be- hind the sleeve. The rubber sleeve also remains flexible throughout the life of the dangler, unlike most plastic and plastisol sleeves, which become s t i f fand brittle. They are available in #8, 6, 4, 2, 1, 1/0, 2/0, and 4/0 wire sizes.
