Hotellerie (hotel, ristoranti, residence di lusso) Retail (fl agship stores, concept store, boutique esclusive) Special Projects (musei, aeroporti, palazzi storici, campus universitari, sedi governative) Seating (auditorium, teatri, cinema, lounge, sale conferenza) Offi ce (uffi ci pubblici e privati)
Dalle micro-forniture alle grandi commesse, Kartell può contare su un prodotto resistente, leggero e fl essibile, completamente Made in Italy e fi rmato dai più noti designer internazionali.
Founded in 1949 through the inspiration that ensured its future success, Kartell today is one of the leading international design companies, the uncontested pioneer in the use of plastics for the furnishings sector.Ambassador of democratic design which has revolutionised the traditional concept of furnishings, Kartell has made plastic a pliable and eclectic material capable of supporting the strong modernist thrust while at the same time igniting a new spark in tradition. The continuing evolution of research on plastics and experimentation with new technologies have enabled Kartell to develop products with ideal functional properties such as resistance to atmospheric pollutants and thermal shock, comfort, lightness and fl exibility of use. The industrial approach furthermore makes mass production possible and the diversifi ed requirements of both production and logistics can be rapidly satisfi ed.This issue has enabled the company to strengthen its presence in the most varied of contexts:
The hotel business (hotels, restaurants and luxury residences) Retail (fl agship stores, concept stores and exclusive boutiques) Special Projects (museums, airports, historic buildings, university campuses and government buildings) Seating (auditoriums, theatres, cinemas, lounges and conference rooms) Offi ce (public and private offi ces)

If you want to sip a drink at the bar in peace and quiet, you need a comfortable tall stool with a back to lean against. Sometimes one drink is not enough - and you need "One more" and sometimes "One more please". The "Ghost" family, one of the absolute Kartell icons, multiplies its ranks with stools of different heights - 65 cm or 75 cm - and with backs, either oval or square, but always versatile, practical, coloured and sturdy.

Kartell presents the latest evolution in transparency, Hi-Cut, a chair offering perfect ergonomical seating combining fl exibility and solidity, while the changing vertical stripes on the top’s structure add an attractive play of light and refl ections. With its minimal and clean design, this chair is reminiscent of an art deco mood made eclectic and precious, bringing a touch of personality and originality to any ambiance. Available in many combinations, Hi-Cut comes in three versions - transparent, black and white - which can be combined with a range of colours for the top, whether bright (purple, red, green and orange) or soft (crystal and smoke grey). The design of the chair’s structure, made in a single mould, plays on curves and angles: the front legs are square, as is the front part of the chair, while the back legs and the backrest have a smoother, rounded line which becomes sharper at the top of the backrest.

TORRE COCCARO, BRINDISI/ITALY – Chair COMBACK Design Patricia Urquiola
Kartell has fun revisiting a great classic and gives a new look to the Windsor chair A return to the glorious past of England in the XVIII century for a "Comb Back" version of the chair with an opaque texture featuring a backrest consisting of seven "teeth" which spread out towards the lumbar region where they meet a reinforced hexagonal rim with slim shafts radiating down to join the seat. A goodly size, this single mould chair
embodies functionality and ergonomics well-freighted with sentiment and memories. The use of plastic and the use of pastel colours on offer give a touch of lightness and the contemporary to the Comback chair. The Comback comes in several modernised versions – the “swivel” model with four spokes and a central swivel shaft and the “sled” with two slim tubular sides.

The TopTop tables come in a version created specifi cally for offi ce use, shock resistant and weatherproof. The transparent circular or square section legs have a faceted surface, metal core and melamine top and are available in different colours – white, black, aluminium and green, and the base is painted aluminium.
The second TopTop table version is especially suited for indoor bar and restaurant use and always features the central transparent circular or square section leg with a pleated surface and metal core. The top is round or square laminate and the base is made of painted aluminium.
The TopTop table line is distinguished by its polycarbonate leg which can be either a round or square transparent section with a faceted surface and metal core. This version is proposed to ideally furnish the home with a square or round glossy lacquered polyester top and chrome-plated aluminium base. The transparent central leg makes the structure agile while the faceted one is sophisticated and elegant.

An essential lamp which is characterised by the “subtle interpretations of the theme". Made in transparent methacrylate in all the colours of the rainbow, the cover is not perfectly hemispherical but the cut-off is underneath the height of the diameter to collect the most light. What’s more, the special transparency of the material and the sheen of the colours bring to mind a soap bubble, iridescent with refl ections of light. Once again, Starck’s creative genius and Kartell's
technology bring to life a revolutionary and
fascinating design: La Bohème, a collection of
stools in precious vase shapes. There are two
designs: La Bohème 2 and La Bohème 3. Each
design highlights a different aspect of the vase as
an object, in terms of the delicate and precious
appearance and the stable and functional seat.
Only exclusive technology, used for the fi rst time
in the design sector by Kartell, could allow the
creation of a completely transparent collection of
stools whose shape has a remarkable aesthetic
impact. La Bohème stools suit any place, in the
living room and in the garden, on the balcony and
in the kitchen. In addition to the stools, vases are
also available in several colours. The elegance of
the design, colours and material sets these vases
apart, making them ideal for creative and original
decoration and to personalise any setting.

The Masters chair is a powerful tribute to the
three chair-symbol, re-read and re-interpreted
by the creative genius of Starck. The “Series 7”
by Arne Jacobsen, the “Tulip Armchair” by Eero
Saarinen and the “Eiffel Chair” by Charles Eames
interweave their unmistakable silhouettes into a
sinuous hybrid giving life to a fusion of original
and engaging styles.
On its four slim legs, the Masters chair is roomy
and comfy. The back of the chair is naturally its
most distinctive feature characterised by the
fullnesses and empty spaces created by the cur-
vaceous criss-crossing lines of three different
backs which descend to meet together at the
seat edge. The Masters is light, practical, comes
in various colours and can be stacked and used
outdoors as well.
The Masters chair was honoured with the prestig-
ious “2010 Good Design Award” presented by the
Chicago Athenaeum - Museum of Architecture
and Design and Red Dot Award 2013.
Kartell also offers a stool version of the Masters
chair. The legs are lengthened and the seat shrunk,
but the frame’s unmistakable graphic look, creat-
ed by the weave of the silhouettes of three iconic
chairs, remains the same. Available in a range of
vibrant colours, Masters Stool is ideal for both the
home and contract sales, as well as outdoor use.

CERTIFICATIONS Leader in the industrial production and distribution of plastic accessories and design items,
Kartell has always focussed on, and been dedicated to, research in avant-garde technologies
and production processes. Quality, reliability, safety and respect for the environment have
always been the company’s key values.
From its creation in 1949 to today, Kartell has designed an incredible series of products, the
fruit of creativity and of partnerships with the world’s greatest designers.
The products are made using top-quality plastics, most of which are recyclable and environ-
mentally friendly; the production processes are optimized to avoid excessive consumption
and waste that harmful to the environment and resources.
In 1996, Kartell received UNI EN ISO 9001 certifi cation for its Corporate Quality Management
System. In 2012, Kartell was also awarded UNI EN ISO 14001 certifi cation for its effi cient
Corporate Management System.
These certifi cations are proof that Kartell applies a careful control system that assesses and
verifi es the appropriateness of its technology, industrialization, quality and environment, in or-
der to reconcile is industrial processes with the needs and expectations of the end consumer.
And, refl ecting its concern for protecting the health of the end consumer, Kartell is set to re-
ceive Greenguard certifi cation for its collections in 2014.
Greenguard was created in the United States in 2001 to develop a series of technical require-
ments to certify materials for indoor use.
This certifi cation attests to the quality of the air breathed in closed spaces furnished with
Kartell products.
The parameters used are very strict, requiring that the furniture used and the certifi cates
respect very specifi c emission limits in order to protect consumers’ health, with particular
regard to children.
By buying a Greenguard certifi ed item, customers can be sure they are purchasing an in-
spected and safe product that does not pollute.
Greenguard is required by many certifi cation boards for green buildings (LEED; CHPS;
ASHRAE; Green Globes, NAHB; IgCC, CONSIP) worldwide.
Kartell’s concern for the environment is refl ected in its use of top-quality plastics that are cle-
an, certifi ed, environmentally friendly and mostly recyclable, along with packaging solutions
that avoid waste. We take great care to guarantee recyclability throughout our production
cycle, right from the earliest design stages.
Recyclability is one of the strong points of Kartell’s products: at the end of their life, all of
Kartell’s products plastic components can be recycled again and again.
But is there an “end of life” for a Kartell product?
CARE To care for your Kartell products, protecting their original characteristics, you just need to
keep a few simple things in mind.
When cleaning plastic surfaces, use a damp, soft cloth with neutral liquid soap or cleanser,
preferably diluted.
Do not use ethyl alcohol or cleansers containing even the slightest amount of acetone, tri-
chlorethylene, ammonia or solvents as these substances will permanently damage the plastic.
In addition to the corrosive substances listed above, avoid abrasive substances, including
powdered cleansers, abrasive creams and cleaning tools with coarse surfaces, such as steel
wool or rough sponges.
PACKAGINGAll of the product’s packaging—cardboard, plastic wrap, paper—is 100% recyclable, based
on generally applied criteria at the local level (recycling bins or recycling centres).
This is the best way you can contribute to environmental sustainability: avoid waste and avoid
“littering” the environment with excessive waste.
QUALITY CONTROLKartell uses various control systems in its production.
The red “QUALITY CONTROL” label found inside each box is your guarantee that the product
was checked by a Quality Control inspector before being packaged.
The codes on the control label are used to trace essential data in the event there is a problem
with the product.
