Our Administrators at FBLG practice an
open door policy. An open door policy is a communication
strategy in which the principal or any other manager or leader
allows staff, employees or any other stakeholders to come to the office at any time to
discuss issues, ask questions, get or give feedback, report problems, or share ideas . For timely feedback please drop by any of
their offices when you need to express a concern, a solution or a congratulatory
comment. If they are not in because they are attending trainings, in school
suspension supervision, lunch supervision and parent/student conferences,

ANOTHER DAY ANOTHER DOLLAR. OUr roles at FBLG are more than teaching and prepping. We have many duties that we are
reminded to partake in. These additional items are required especially as we try our very best to create a safe environment for all our members at FBLG.
BP411 excerpt: School personnel and teachers (to include substitutes or other personnel covering classroom instruction shall inform parents, as soon as possible, but no later than the end of the school day when a child does not attend class. Article 2.B.2 excerpt: Teachers must be visible in the hallways during transition times to ensure there is supervision. Students will line up outside of their classrooms before class or until the teacher allows them into the classroom when the tardy bell rings. (p. 12) Article 2.E.1: Teachers must maintain an accurate record of their students’ behavioral, academic, and attendance progress Article 2.F.2: Teachers must exhaust all progressive disciplinary actions in handling student minor misconduct in the classroom prior to referring the student for administrative action. (need clarification on minor incidents please refer to Chronicles 5th and 6th edition)
These are just a few proactive actions our school can actively practice in our daily routine. Currently we do not have enough aides to watch all corners of our school. All substitutes are placed in the classroom and TA’s assist with morning, Lunch and after school supervision. It is greatly appreciated when we see all our faculty and staff members do their part. Consistency is Key.
We are GOOD going for GREAT
