THE PLANT WAS INTRODUCED TO MORE THAN 52 COUNTRIES FROM THE CENTRE OF ORIGIN. THE EARLIEST APPLICATION OF TEA WAS MEDICINAL. THE STIMULANT AFFECT OF TEA LEAF WAS DISCOVERED BY LEGENDARY CHINESE EMPEROR
SHENNONG AROUND 2700 BC AGO. FOUR TYPES OF TEA MOST COMMONLY FOUND ON MARKET ARE BLACK TEA, GREEN TEA,
OOLONG TEA & WHITE TEA.
